Accidentally in Love

Notes: Crisp, gingery tangerine and exotic palm frond keep things clean and bright.

This smells like a lemongrass spa scent. Not sure why it's red! It's not sweet at all. I like it. Looking at the scent notes, I don't detect ginger, tangerine/orange or palm at all, although the palm might be the lemongrass I think I'm smelling.

Throw: Strong, 4 out of 5

All You Need is Love

Notes: Coconut Sugar, Creamy Vanilla and Bing Cherry

A rich buttery caramel butterscotch scent with a whipped cream note, but it's not overly sweet. There aren't any bakery notes either. Maybe a hint of coconut? Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell cherry. I really like this scent.

Throw: Strong, 4 out of 5

Aloha Citrus

Notes: A fresh tide of tangerine, jade blossom and vetiver.

A nice tropical fruit scent with a hint of floral and maybe a smidgen of a zesty peppery note. I like it.

Throw: Mild, 3 out of 5

Blue Grotto

Notes: Run away with fresh tropical notes, sweet citrus and lush botanicals.

A nice sweet orange scent with a hint of a tropical and/or berry note. It's not zesty or overly citrusy, and no sour notes. I like it. I think this scent came out last year.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 to 4 out of 5

Blue Raspberry Ice

Notes: Sweet cherry, icy white lemon and blue raspberry

This smells like a fruity (raspberry?) slushy with a little bit of a zesty lemony note. I really like it. I don't think this is a brand new scent.

Throw: Medium, 3 out of 5

Dazzling Pomegranate

Notes: Serve a sparkling medley of pomegranate, bright orange and mimosa accord.

A fantastic berry scent with a little bit of a lemon zest note, a slight savory note, and a smidgen of sourness (but not enough to be annoying). It's only very slightly sweet. I like it! Because of the sourness I would classify this as a tropical fruit scent.

Throw: Strong, 4 out of 5

Grapefruit Sunshine

Notes: Follow brisk citrus, pink grapefruit and subtle vanilla to a brighter place.

A slightly zesty scent with a lemony and grapefruit note. It's a little savory, not really sweet. It's similar to several other Scentsy scents, like Citrus Garden (but not as bitter) Summer Sunset and Citrus Pop (but not as lemony). I love these types of scents.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Lemon Coconut Chiffon

Notes: Melt-in-your-mouth lemon custard layered with butter cake and sprinkled with toasted coconut

A yummy creamy lemon bakery scent. I do smell a little of the coconut. It's a very nice scent, although similar to a lot of other lemon bakery scents.

Throw: Strong, 4 out of 5

I did NOT buy these based on cold sniff:

Blue Hyacinth - This doesn't smell like hyacinth at all (which smells a lot like lilac). This scent is floral with a bit of an earthy note, not perfumey or overly sweet, and kind of generic. The Mainstays Blue Hyacinth scent at Walmart (which I reviewed HERE) is much better and extremely authentic.

Blueberry Rush - Smells nice and very strong, but a typical fake blueberry bakery scent that every company makes (I have a lot of scents that smell just like this, from several wax melt companies)

Coastal Strawberry - Very weak on cold sniff, and not as "succulent" and fruity as other strawberry scents I've smelled.

Darling Dahlia - Generic floral

Flower Child - Weak on cold sniff

Havana Cabana - Strong pineapple note (I don't care for pineapple scents)

Jungle Jam - Pineapple note (I don't care for pineapple scents)

Mandarin Grapefruit Amber - This smelled awful to me, with a bitter "moldy" note.

Mandarin Splash - Nice, but nothing special

Midnight in Curacao - Pineapple note (I don't care for pineapple scents)

Rainforest Bungalow - Smells like bug spray

Spring Forward - Generic floral, weak on cold sniff

Sugar - Nice cotton candy/pink sugar type scent, but weak on cold sniff

Summer Soleil - Coconut and tropical fruit, just okay

White Grapefruit - Nothing special

Scentsy Wax Bars - January 2018

Video

Just about all of these are "Bring Back My Bars" and they are only available until the end of January! That's right, January 31, this coming Wednesday, 3 days from now. So if you want these, grab them before Wednesday or they'll be gone forever!

Before I start my reviews, I'd like to focus a little on the seller first: Carrie Mamulski. Carrie joined Scentsy in 2013 and is now a "Star Consultant". She hosts Scentsy parties, and although she is located in New Jersey, she ships anywhere in the U.S. Carrie loves Scentsy and enjoys sharing it. She always tries to throw in something extra with each order. And if you buy warmers from her, she will replace their bulbs for free as needed. Just a little extra gesture to show her appreciation! So yes, you can buy Scentsy from any Scentsy rep, but it's nice to deal with someone who is completely knowledgeable about the product, provides great customer service and quick shipping, goes the extra mile for her customers, and is just really a nice person! Carrie Mamulski's Scentsy page is https://carriemamulski.scentsy.us.

A Wink & A Smile

Notes: Dutch tulips, sunny daffodils, and a refreshing splash of tangy lemonade with sweet and flirty plum

This smells like fresh body wash or shampoo with a hint of floral, a very slight fruity note and maybe a smidgen of coconut. It has a tiny bit of a cologne note, but it's not a men's cologne scent. Looking at the scent notes, the fruit is the lemon and plum, but I really don't smell either of those, especially the lemon. The fruit is like a fruit-smelling shampoo rather than a specific type of fruit. It's more of a fruity floral than a true fruity scent. I like it.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Ambrosia

Notes: Like the sweetest fruit salad ever: tropical pineapple, mandarin orange slices, juicy pears, and ripe concord grapes with hints of jam and fruit nectar

This smells like strawberry flavored candy or bubble gum, but it also has a little bit of a tropical note, like maybe a hint of pineapple, and possibly a little bit of grape. Melted, I smell a little bit of the orange (mandarin), and I think there's a slight floral note.

Throw: Faint, 2 to 2.5 out of 5

Aussie Plum

Notes: Melange of juicy plum, pink grapefruit, and tart pomegranate with smooth vanilla

A rich dark fruity scent that smells a little like raspberries with a warm slightly perfumey note. Fantastic scent! Looking at the notes, I don't smell grapefruit at all, although there's a barely detectable hint of tartness that could be the grapefruit.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 to 4 out of 5

Boho

Notes: Clove-studded winter apples entwined with black plums, candied mulberries, and cinnamon sticks

Apples and plums with a hint of caramel and a smidgen of balsam? I think I also smell a little bit of cinnamon. It has a bit of a candy note. Looking at the scent notes, they're spot on. The caramel I think I smell is probably the rich warmth of the cloves, although I don't really smell cloves per se. When melted, I definitely smell the cloves, and it's pretty much just an apple scent with cinnamon and cloves, but with that extra plum note that makes it a little different. It's a nice scent, but similar to a lot of fall scents I have.

Throw: Medium, 3 out of 5

Cherry Limeade

Notes: Sweet cherry contrasts with zesty key lime, dancing with tiny bubbles foaming up and bursting

This smells like cherry lime soda with a soapy note, and it's not as sweet as I'd like. I smell the lime first, but also a little bit of the cherry. It has a little bit of fizziness, kind of like ginger ale, which I don't like, but I think I'm in the minority as I believe most people will love this scent.

Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5, a scent monster that took over the house

Eucalyptus

Notes: Soothing, medicinal and fresh

This is the scent to melt if you have a cold! It smells like Vicks VapoRub, a nasal-clearing menthol eucalyptus scent. It has a slight pine note that I don't smell in Vicks, but I really like it.

Throw: Medium, 3 to 3.5 out of 5

Flower Shop

Notes: Just like walking into a flower shop

A nice authentic green scent with a little bit of a floral note and a hint of bitterness to make it more realistic. But it's not really a floral scent. It's similar to the Fresh Cut Grass scent, but this scent is fresher and slightly sweeter.

Throw: Medium, 3 to 3.5 out of 5

Fresh Cut Grass

Notes: Like a freshly cut fairway on a cool summer morning, with early clean notes

A nice sweet green grass scent with a slightly soapy note. I've never found a grass scent that is truly authentic, and this one is no exception, but it's almost close. It smells a little more like a greenhouse, and similar to the Flower Shop scent, but slightly more soapy, and not as fresh and sweet.

Throw: Medium, 3 to 3.5 out of 5

Mandarin Moon

Notes: Spirited cinnamon and glowing ginger illuminated by sweet orange and star anise

This smells fantastic. It's sweet orange, and not overly citrusy, with cinnamon I think. But it's not really a fall scent, and not an orange pomander scent either. Looking at the notes, I don't smell anise, which has a licorice type scent. Maybe a little bit of the ginger, but I wouldn't notice it if I didn't see it in the notes. The predominant note is the orange, and then the cinnamon, but it's not an overly cinnamony scent either.

Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5, a scent monster that took over the house

Mediterranean Spa

Notes: Relax with this smooth, fresh, and breezy scent, with the beach grasses, cleansing minerals and therapeutic herbs

I love this scent! It's a salty soapy savory herbal scent with a smidgen of lemon verbena.

Throw: Medium, 3 out of 5

Mulberry Bush

Notes: Sweet mulberry accented with bittersweet orange peels

This smells like black cherry, but it's not as harsh, and it's quite sweet, but not candy sweet. On cold sniff I also detect a smidgen of orange, but I don't really smell it when melting.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Pineapple Coconut Vanilla

Notes: Coconut, pineapple blush and blue fig

I expected a strong pineapple coconut scent based on the name, and this is not that at all. Which is good, because I'm not a fan of pineapple scents, and there are already a lot of pineapple coconut type scents out there. I do smell pineapple and coconut, but it's subtle and only very slightly sweet. I think there's also a light wood note, like driftwood, and maybe a hint of lemon. I really like this one. Looking at the scent notes, it's the fig that tones down the other notes. Fig and currant scents are slightly woodsy, with a hint of fruitiness that's not too sweet, and they make other scents smell "classy". Yes, I definitely smell the fig in this one; in fact, I think that's the predominant note.

Throw: Strong, 3 to 3.5 out of 5

Scarlet Woods

Notes: Vivid notes of cassis and redberry over crisp white cedar

This is a new 2018 scent, and it's fantastic. It smells like cranberries and balsam (a fresh, sweet, woodsy balsamic pine scent) with a bit of a warm soapy ambery slightly perfumey note. Actually, I think the fruit note is currant, not cranberry, although it does have a hint of tartness like cranberry. Looking at the scent notes, redberry is a type of evergreen shrub (which is probably where the balsam/pine note is coming from), and cassis is a type of currant that has a slight patchouli or soapy note. It's a strong, rich, kind of intense scent, but the scent started dissipating around 2 hours.

Throw: Strong, 4 out of 5

Shaka

Notes: Rich sandalwood infused with a splash of bergamot and lime

A nice pleasant fresh slightly watery scent with a hint of a peppery note, a smidgen of light wood, and perhaps a barely detectable hint of coconut. It smells a little like a fresh men's body wash, but it's not cologney. Looking at the notes, I don't smell lime, and I'm not sure why I think I smell coconut.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 to 4 out of 5

Simply Irresistable

Notes: Lavender with a strong, woody background of amber, moss and musk

A fantastic lavender scent combined with a fresh perfumey cologne note, a slight "green" note, a slight warm note, and maybe a hint of lemon way in the background. Melted, however, it smells like a combination of liquid Dawn dish detergent (the blue one, original scent) and a little bit of lavender, in a good way... clean, fresh, and pleasant. Nice scent!

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Simply Rose

Notes: An open bud of classic, floral fragrance

A lovely rose scented soap scent. It's not overly sweet, and has a slight bitterness that makes it smell authentic. It still smells like soap rather than a real rose, but I love it. And I started smelling it on the other side of the house only 10 minutes after I put a cube in the warmer. After a few hours it started taking on a little bit of a bug spray note, but not too bad.

Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5, a scent monster that took over the house

Twilight

Notes: Suffused with fragrant dark floral notes, soft but intense, like a sea breeze sweeping through a moonlit garden

This is a nice scent, a bit weak on cold sniff though. It smells like soap with maybe a bit of a floral note and possibly a hint of light wood. It's sweet, but not a sweet floral or perfume or cologne type scent. It's nice and subtle, perfect for a bedroom. Actually, I really really like this and it smells great when melted! It just smells like soap to me, but a nice subtle but expensive scented soap, almost like a bubble bath.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Vanilla Oud

Notes: Sweet vanilla grounded by leather and earthy oud wood

A sweet woodsy vanilla scent with warm ambery, perfumey, and slight candy notes. I can smell the oud on cold sniff (a dark resinous woodsy scent with a "tree sap" type note), but it's subtle, and I don't smell it when melting, and I don't smell the leather. Very nice scent, but smells like a lot of other similar scents.

Throw: Medium, 3 to 3.5 out of 5

Vanilla Suede

Notes: Classic, comforting vanilla combined with rich amber and hints of sandalwood and spice, a cozy and subtly masculine fragrance

Fantastic combination of men's cologne, warm amber, sweet tobacco, men's cologne, and maybe a smidgen of leather. I don't smell vanilla.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Vanillamint

Notes: Wintergreen frost sparkles over vanilla and frozen citrus

This is the January Scent of the Month. On cold sniff I smell cool peppermint with a hint of a citrus note (I can't tell if it's lemon, lime, orange or a combination). Very refreshing, and would be great to melt on a hot summer day. Looking at the notes, I don't smell wintergreen at all (which has kind of an anise or licorice note), which is good. Melted, however, it smells totally different, like either a lemon tea cough drop or a lemon lime slushie with an iced tea note. I don't smell the mint at all when melting, but I definitely smell lemon iced tea. I think it's a scent that most people will love, but it's only "okay" for me.

Throw: Medium, 3 to 3.5 out of 5

Weathered Leather

Notes: Step into an old-fashioned saddle shop brimming with dark suede and tooled leather over a backdrop of oak

This is a new January 2018 scent. It's pure leather, like a leather jacket. But there's also a hint of a smoky note and maybe a smidgen of woodsiness. It's not a sweet or cologne scent at all. I don't usually care for pure leather scents, but I like this one because of that slight smoky and woodsy note.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Mariposa Lily

Notes: Mariposa lily blooms with sugar apple and pineapple slices

A creamy fruity floral. I can't tell if it's strawberry or apple or some other kind of fruit. It's not overly sweet and not perfumey at all. Nice and subtle. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell pineapple at all.

Throw: Good, 3 out of 5

Painted Leaves

Notes: Blue spruce, red maple and golden woods

Pine with a hint of woodsiness and a smidgen of mint. Very nice scent! Looking at the notes, I don't know why mint is not listed; I definitely smell mint, and it has a sinus clearing effect. There's a note in this one that makes it smell just a bit different from other pine scents, but I can't figure out what that note is. It's not a biting pine, there's no eucalyptus, and there are no smoky notes at all. Maybe it's the red maple and golden woods.

Throw: Excellent, 4 out of 5

Passion Fruit Colada

Notes: Honeydew and passion fruit surge with sugarcane

This smells like a lot of their other warm perfumey slightly fruity creamy blackberry type scents. Not that I'm complaining; this smells great, but I have like 6 other Scentsy scents that smell almost exactly like it. This doesn't have a colada or tropical note, which I expected based on the scent name. Looking at the scent notes, yes I think I do detect honeydew melon. And when melted, I think I detect a barely noticeable smidgen of coconut.

Throw: Good, 3 out of 5

Peach & White Amber

Notes: Deep floral notes and earthy, provocative amber

Fantastic warm ambery perfumey type scent, but it's not overly sweet or perfumey. I think I smell a hint of gardenia or jasmine. I definitely smell a sweet creamy vanilla. And maybe a smidgen of a fruit note which I assume is peach, although if I didn't know that, I wouldn't be able to tell what kind of fruit. And maybe a barely detectable hint of woods which is the amber (a warm woodsy note). Looking at the scent notes, hmm, no peach? Melted, I do smell more of a fruit note and this scent takes on a bit of a creamy fruity vibe.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5

Persian Lime & Sandalwood

Notes: Tangy kaffir lime, cultured by earthy notes and an urbane touch of sandalwood

A nice fresh clean men's cologne scent. I don't actually smell lime.

Throw: Very good, 3 or 3.5 out of 5

Pink Haze

Notes: A sweet confection of berries, nectarines and vanilla-laced whipped cream nestled in marshmallow fondant.

This is weak on cold sniff and smells like pink sugar, that very sweet cotton candy like perfumey scent with a hint of berry. But it's more subtle than pink sugar, and not as cloyingly sweet, with maybe a bit of vanilla marshmallow and a hint of floral.

Throw: Very good, 3 or 3.5 out of 5

Pretty & Plum

Notes: Red plum gets pasty-perfect with black coconut and sweet cream.

Rich vanilla cake. On cold sniff I also smell a little bit of a sweet berry filling that smells like blueberries and blackberries, but I don't really smell the fruit when melted. I also smell coconut on cold sniff, which I also don't really smell when melted. It's quite nice!

Throw: Very good, 3 or 3.5 out of 5

Quiet Grove

Notes: Bergamot, jasmine and sandalwood

I can't figure this one out, but I like it. It smells kind of like a body wash, sort of fresh and maybe with a smidgen of floral and lemon. Looking at the scent notes, bergamot makes sense as that's a base for a lot of fresh body wash and cologne scents (although this is not really a cologne scent). Jasmine is the floral (although it's not a sweet floral so I would not have known it was jasmine per se). And sandalwood, yes I guess there is a subtle light woods note.

Throw: Very good, 3 or 3.5 out of 5

Sea Salt & Avocado

Notes: Pink sea salt, Valencia orange and creamy avocado

It's very weak on cold sniff, and I just smell a bland green scent. But melted, it's a fresh green scent with a hint of grapefruit and a little bit of creaminess. It's fresh with just a hint of sweetness. Looking at the scent notes, the grapefruit I'm smelling is actually orange, although this is not an orange scent. It's an unusual mix of notes that actually work quite well together.

Throw: Very good, 3 or 3.5 out of 5

Silver Bells

Notes: Minty candy canes with pear, in a blanket of caramel and vanilla sugar.

Very nice warm perfumey scent, similar to Scentsy Luna, with a minty note, and perhaps a slight blackberry note. OK looking at the scent notes, it's pear, not blackberry. I really like this scent!

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5

Sweet Pea & Vanilla

Notes: Raspberries and sweet pea petals with vanilla

This is definitely a sweet pea scent, and I do detect the slight foodie quality of sweet vanilla that adds a bit of richness to this scent. I like this one. Looking at the scent notes, yes now I do detect a hint of berry although it's subtle. When melted, I definitely smell the raspberry note, which gives this a little bit of a berry candy vibe. And the vanilla gives it a smidgen of a caramel note. I really like this one, and the scent on cold sniff does not do it justice!

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5

Toasted Coconut Amaretto

Notes: Praline cream, almond and just a hint of anise

Yum! I smell almond and sweet amaretto liquor (amaretto has a hint of cherry in it), with maybe a creamy vanilla. Coconut is in the scent name, but not in the notes, although I think I do smell it just a little on cold sniff (but not when melted). I don't smell anise at all though (which is good). When melted, the cherry note really comes out, and it becomes more of a perfect blend of maraschino cherry, almond, and a bit of sweet creamy vanilla.

I believe the fragrance oil Serendipity consists of almond, cherry and coconut notes, but I'm not a fan of Serendipity scents, so while this scent might share some of those notes, it's quite different. I really like this one!

Throw: Very good, 3 or 3.5 out of 5

Very Merry Cranberry

Notes: Red winter berries pop against a backdrop of snow-covered cedar

Fantastic sweet cranberry scent, almost a little candy-like. I think I also detect a smidgen of peppermint, cinnamon and cloves, but all very subtle. Looking at the scent notes, okay I think I do smell cedar. But I definitely smell peppermint, although it's not very strong and has a mild sinus clearing effect. I really thought I smelled cinnamon and cloves, but maybe not.

Throw: Excellent, 5 out of 5, a scent monster that took over the whole house.

Video:

Berry of Paradise

Notes: Sugared strawberry, bird of paradise and vanilla bean

I smell strawberry with maybe a honeydew melon note, and a smidgeon of tropical and floral. Looking at the scent notes, bird of paradise is a flower that has a tropical scent, which is where I'm getting that slight tropical note.

Throw: Good, 3 out of 5

Cherry Almond Pie

Notes: Graham crackers, sweet almond, cream, and cherries

This is super strong on cold sniff. OMG it smells incredible, just like almond and maraschino cherry, with a sweet rich creamy vanilla note. This is different from the well-known vendor scent "Serendipity", which is generally just cherry and coconut, sometimes with orange added, occasionally with almond added. This scent smells better to me than Serendipity.

Throw: Excellent, 4 or maybe 5 out of 5

Clothesline

Notes: Crisp greens, orange flower, creamy violet and a hint of white wicker basket

I love this scent! It's a sweet fabric softener scent, but not overly "laundryish". It's also rich and warm, with maybe a slight berry note and maybe even a smidgeon of lemon. It's very similar to the Downy Unstopables "Spring" wax melt, which I reviewed at http://www.scentedwaxreviews.com/2017/03/downy-unstopables-wax-melts-review.html. Looking at the scent notes, it's the orange flower that I probably think is the berry and lemon. When I sniffed the melting wax from up close, it cleared my sinuses, but it's not a minty scent at all. So I think it's the chemical combination that cleared my sinuses, which freaked me out a little. If you like this scent but can't find it, check out the Downy version at Walmart. It's $3.97, so cheaper than Scentsy (which is now $6.00). And the Downy version was a scent monster that took over the entire house.

Throw: Excellent, 4 out of 5

Cranberry Garland

Notes: Sweet-tart cranberry, grounded by sage and earthy pine cones

On cold sniff I smell sweet cranberry with just a hint of tartness, mixed with a little bit of pine. When melted, the cranberry is definitely the predominant scent, but I still smell a smidgen of pine. Very nice scent!

Throw: Excellent, 4 out of 5

Huckleberry & Clementine

Notes: Huckleberry preserves, clementine and a sprig of strawberry vine

Fantastic scent, similar to Scentsy Luna with that sweet plum/blackberry note and a warm slightly perfumey cashmere note, but this scent has a much stronger sweet fruity plum/blackberry note and is much more rich, dark and intense. Looking at the scent notes, yes, I do smell strawberry. Clementine is a citrus scent that smells like tangerine rind with a floral note, but I don't smell any citrus in this scent.

Throw: Excellent, 4 or 5 out of 5

Jumpin' Jelly Bean

Notes: Apple, pear, lemon, and lime melange

This smells like sweet honeydew melon flavored candy. I also smell pear or maybe a little bit of apple. Looking at the scent notes, I'm surprised I don't see melon. I don't smell lemon or lime on cold sniff, although when melted maybe there's a smidgen. This doesn't smell like jelly beans to me, although it's a nice scent. It's nice on cold sniff, but it's fantastic when melted!

Throw: Excellent, 4 out of 5

Mandarin Toffee Treat

Notes: Sugared mandarin and sugar cane drizzled with creamy toffee butter

A sweet creamy orange, like an orange creamsicle, with caramely butterscotch toffee drizzled on top. Scrumptious

Throw: Very good, 3 or 3.5 out of 5.

Marshmallow Mint

Notes: Buttermint, marshmallow and amber

Just like the scent name, this is a lovely rich marshmallow scent with a peppermint note. It's not overly minty or sickeningly sweet.

Throw: Very good, 3 or 3.5 out of 5

Mellow Moment

Notes: Chamomile tea leaves sweetened with a touch of apple and orange blossom.

A nice warm sunflower type floral scent with a little bit of a soapy note and an iced tea note. It's not overly sweet, and in fact it has a tiny bit of a bitter note (but not in a bad way). Looking at the scent notes, I guess the orange blossom is the floral note, although it doesn't smell like orange blossom per se (which is more of a neroli type scent). And there's the tea. I don't smell apple at all.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5

Orange Dreamsicle

Notes: A classic combination of fresh orange, swirled with vanilla cream

On cold sniff I wasn't sure about this one, since it smelled fake with a bit of a chemical note. But it smelled better melted. It does smell like an orange creamsicle, although not as sweet and creamy as, and a bit more tangy than, similar scents I've smelled from other companies. It smells a little more like powdered orange drink mix.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5

Peony Petals

Notes: Peony, rose petals, and soft breeze

A nice authentic floral scent with maybe a rose note and a little bit of a floral body wash note.

Throw: Good, 3 out of 5

Spring Symphony

Notes: Hyacinth, coconut water, violet leaf and soft musk

Light spring flowers with a slightly perfumey note but also a slightly grassy note to temper the sweetness a bit, and a hint of a fresh air note and perhaps a smidgen of coconut. Looking at the scent notes, the soft musk is the perfume note, and there's the coconut water. Melted, I detect a hint of fruit like honeydew melon.

Throw: Good, 3 out of 5

Tahitian Black Orchid

Notes: Black plums blend with coconut milk and black orchids, with white roses.

This smells like a very sweet blackberry with vanilla and a little bit of a floral note. Nice scent. Looking at the scent notes, the fruit is plum, not blackberry. I do smell the floral note a little, but not rose.

Throw: Poor, 1 out of 5, and within an hour I put my nose a few inches from the warmer and the scent was almost gone and replaced with just a waxy scent.

Woodland Suede

Notes: Red oak, smoky cedar, suede musk and bright winter lemon

I smell pine along with a sort of smoky note and a smidgen of a warm cologne note way in the background, and a hint of some kind of savory note that I can't put my finger on. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell lemon. I love pine scents, but the savory note in this one smells a little like bread to me, so it's not my favorite pine scent.

Throw: Good, 3 out of 5

Watch video below:

This is my third Scentsy review. You can see my other two Scentsy reviews HERE and HERE. I don't know if these scents are current, or older and discontinued.

Banana Berry
"Slightly tart and definitely juicy red strawberries jumbled with yellow bananas and luscious bavarian cream."

I didn't include this in my video review since I didn't have it at the time. On cold sniff I smell bananas and berries mixed together (strawberry I think), but mostly the banana. It's a fake banana scent, not authentic, which is okay because it smells great, like sweet banana berry candy. There might also be vanilla in this one as it has a creamy, rich note. Looking at the scent notes, there's the cream.

Throw: None, 0 out of 5, even close up with my nose practically in the wax. The heat sapped all the fragrance pretty much immediately. Maybe I got an old one.

Blue Christmas
"Fresh fir needles in aromatic orange essence, with cloves and cinnamon."

A subtle blue spruce scent, not a biting pine scent. I detect a barely noticeable smidgeon of cinnamon in the background. I don't smell any orange although there may be a smidgeon of a pomander note. This scent has kind of a salty note that makes it smell a little like Play-Doh, or a sage-y note that smells a little like sausage spice. I'm not crazy about it.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5

Cambridge
"Sweet lemon and pine needles mixed with an intriguing dash of vetiver."

I smell vanilla and baby powder and oriental perfume spices and a little bit of men's cologne. It's a very nice, classy scent. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell any pine in this at all, not a smidgeon. If I try really hard maybe I might detect lemon but if I didn't know it was in the scent notes I wouldn't. Vetiver is a common note in men's cologne, so that makes sense.

Throw: Not good, around a 2 or 2.5 out of 5, so would be better in smaller room.

Casting Spells
"A bewitching blend of apple drizzle, roasted pears and cinnamon bark."

This is a caramely pear scent with another note I can't figure out, almost like a woodsy clove note in the background. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell cinnamon at all. This is very similar to an older Scentsy scent, "Caramel Pear Crisp" (which I reviewed before), but not exactly the same. It's very rich but almost has a slightly burnt quality.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5.

Cherry Vanilla
"Candied cherry and sugared almonds folded into velvety white chocolate ice cream."

I didn't include this in my video review since I didn't have it at the time. Fantastic scent! It smells like maraschino cherry scented men's cologne, with vanilla for richness and maybe amber because it's a warm scent. It's not actually a men's cologne scent, but it has that sweet alcohol note from men's cologne, so maybe more like a perfume scent. It's not a foodie scent at all. Looking at the scent notes, the richness is probably from the white chocolate, although I don't detect chocolate notes in this at all. I also don't smell almond. After a few hours, it seemed like the alcohol note got stronger and it started smelling a bit like rubbing alcohol and got annoying.

Throw: Excellent, 4 out of 5

Clean Breeze
"White florals with a touch of spring; this is the scent of fresh, clean laundry."

A sweet floral fabric softener or dryer sheet type scent. It's not a harsh laundry detergent scent. Very nice and fresh!

Throw: Excellent, at least a 4 out of 5

Enchanted Mist
"Rose petals, sweet candy apples, and jasmine."

Pleasant fresh air floral with maybe a smidgeon of apple, like an apple blossom. Looking at the scent notes, I don't think I smell rose.

Throw: Fair, 2.5 or 3 out of 5, so best suited for a smaller room.

Fuzzy Blanket
"Lavender, sandalwood, and sweet honeysuckle."

I smell lavender first, and maybe a floral note, but there's some other note I can't figure out, maybe some kind of wood? I guess the floral is honeysuckle but it doesn't smell like honeysuckle to me on cold sniff. But melted, the floral is sweeter.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5.

Ivy & Water Lily
"Mandarin zest, rain-kissed jasmine and sheer amber beneath fresh dew drops."

This is a lovely fresh floral scent with a smidgeon of lemon that makes it smell like authentic flower petals. It's not overly sweet. Looking at the scent notes I see mandarin, which is orange. I don't smell orange at all, although it might be the lemon I detect.

Throw: Not good, around a 2 or 2.5 out of 5

Lavender & White Balsam
"Lavender freshened by wintry white balsam and crisp amber."

Fantastic scent! I smell lavender first, then a slightly smoky spruce (not a biting pine note).

Throw: Excellent, at least a 4 or 4.5 out of 5.

Lemon Sorbet
"Fresh-cut lemon and grapefruit zest sweetened by sugarcane."

A sweet lemon with a kick, this one has that biting "fake" lemon note, but in a good way, since that's the kind of lemon you smell in lemon candies, lemon sorbet, etc. It's a bright, fresh sweet lemon scent. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell grapefruit but that's probably the biting almost bitter note I'm detecting.

Throw: Very good, 3 or 3.5 out of 5

Mystic Magnolia
"Creamy lemony vanilla with sweet and spicy rosewood is brought together with smooth amber and fresh herbal green leaves."

A floral but not too sweet, actually has a bitter note that makes it smell authentic. But also smells a little like a men's body wash, so it's kind of a "masculine" floral. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell lemon, but  real magnolia petals do have a slightly lemony note.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5

Rio Beach
"The scent of sun, surf, sand and samba – coconut milk, tropical fruit, and tonka bean."

This smells like buttery coconut vanilla, but not really a foodie scent as there's another note in there I can't figure out, maybe sandalwood or a smidgeon of baby powder or floral, and maybe even a slightly nutty note. Looking at the scent notes, there's the coconut milk and tonka bean (a type of vanilla). I don't really smell fruit, although that's probably the other note I couldn't figure out. It's not a typical tropical scent.

Throw: Excellent, 4 out of 5.

Route 66
"An exhilirating breeze of citrus, herbs, and musk."

This smells like an outdoorsy men's body wash, natural and a little spicy. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell citrus.

Throw: Good, around a 3 out of 5

Strawberry Swirl
"Blissfully sweet and creamy, Strawberry Swirl whips together frozen strawberry, frothy milk and vanilla."

This is the richest, sweetest, creamiest strawberry ice cream scent I've ever smelled. I want to take a bite of the bar! It's like an intense rich sweet buttercream scent with sweet rich strawberry preserves folded in, and creamy milky whipped cream on top.

Throw: Scent monster, 5 out of 5 and took over the whole house

Summer Sunshine
"Pineapple and coconut bask in a warm mandarin glow."

I didn't include this in my video review since I didn't have it at the time. I can't figure out the notes in this one, but it smells great. Creamy and sweet, maybe a little coconut, maybe a little fruity, a little honeydew melon perhaps, and maybe a smidgeon of lemon and perhaps a bit of amber for warmth? This smells like a rich summery perfume. Looking at the scent notes, the pineapple is the fruitiness (although it doesn't smell like pineapple at all to me, which is good as I don't like pineapple scents), mandarin (which is basically orange) is probably the lemon I detect, and there's the coconut.

Throw: Excellent, at least 4 or 4.5 out of 5, and scent lasted all day (although throw not as strong after about 4 hours, which is very good!)

Wassail Wonderland
"Orange zest, lemon peel and cinnamon stick over fresh fir needles."

A fantastic combination of blue spruce with a smidgeon of orange or lemon I think, and maybe a smidgeon of spices. But this is not really a pomander scent, which is orange and cloves, a scent I don't like. I've always liked the combination of pine and orange or pine and lemon.

Throw: Excellent, at least 4 out of 5

World Traveler
"Blackberry, dark pomegranate and oak bark inspire adventure."

A subtle men's cologne or body wash scent, not overly sweet and not too "cologney". There may be sandalwood in there to give it more of a "natural" vibe. Looking at the scent notes, I don't detect any fruit in this scent. It's very similar to a lot of other men's cologne or body wash type scents that I have.

Throw: Very good, 3 or 3.5 out of 5.

Scentsy Wax Bars Review from a User, NOT a Seller (Part 2) - 57 Scents

Scentsy Wax Bars Reviews from a User, NOT a Seller (Part 2) - 57 Scents

This is my second Scentsy review. Please see my first Scentsy review, and my thoughts about Scentsy in general, HERE.

If you're looking for a review of a particular scent, use the "Search Blog" feature on the top right hand side of this page (on a desktop; not sure if it appears on mobile version).

Jammy Time

Help kids drift into dreamland with this soothing blend of baby freesia, lavender and sweet pea. Perfect for bedrooms and evening baths.

This one is primarily lavender, but there's something else in the background, maybe nutty or woody. It's not a perfumey lavender, nor a medicinal lavender, and it has a warm note. Looking at the scent notes, I guess the nuttiness is part of the lavender itself. I don't smell floral though. This is a very nice lavender scent, completely different from their French Lavender scent though, which is just a straight lavender and slightly medicinal. I like the other notes in this one, plus the throw is much better.

Throw: Excellent, at least a 4 out of 5

Sea, Sun & Fun

Drops of pure amber highlighted with juicy orange. Day lilies add a straight up summer floral note, petals swirling at the water’s edge.

This smells like a combination of Coppertone suntan oil and a fresh scent like fresh air with a salty sea water note. It smells just like the beach. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell orange, and I smell maybe a smidgeon of floral.

Throw: Not great, around a 2.5 out of 5

Summer Holiday

Steal away to a sunny isle bursting with lush plumeria, tiger lily and sweet orange softened by vanilla and radiant amber.

I'm not sure what I'm smelling, but it smells like a really sweet girly perfume with something yummy like vanilla and a touch of warmth from amber perhaps (but it doesn't smell like "Pink Sugar", not that type of sweet girly perfume). Looking at the scent notes, okay that's about right. When melted, the vanilla really comes out. This one lasted all day, and it was really strong, actually a bit too strong considering how sweet and perfumey it is.

Throw: Excellent, 5 out of 5

Sedona Sunset

Flamboyant desert lily and vanilla orchid enliven creamy coconut milk and ethereal jasmine.

This smells a lot like Summer Holiday, but not quite as sweet, and a little warmer. There may be just a smidgeon of coconut in this one. And looking at the scent notes, there it is. This is a really nice scent, a more grown-up version of Summer Holiday. Melted, it smells sweeter and even more similar to Summer Holiday, but not quite as "sickeningly" sweet, and not as strong which in this case is actually a good thing.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5

Pacific Daydream

Zesty slivers of lime peel perk up sunny pineapple spears and sweet spun sugar, punctuated with the essence of mellow Hawaiian sea salt.

This is a fresh air type scent with a peppery note and a hint of fruit, maybe pineapple. I don't really like it that much though. And throw was not good, which is surprising for Scentsy. Looking at the scent notes, there's the pineapple, although I don't smell as much tropical fruitiness as the notes suggest.

Throw: Not good, around a 2 out of 5

Mountain Sky

Take a meadow stroll amidst fresh air redolent with a dash of citrus, while white woods and amber lend warm, exquisite undertones.

A fresh scent with a little bit of floral and just a smidgeon of smoky wood. Very nice scent, almost like a masculine body wash. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell citrus.

Throw: Not good, around a 2 out of 5, if that

Flirtatious

Tart green apple cheerfully bounces among fizzy slices of pink grapefruit and sweet white amber.

This one is very light on cold sniff, so I'm not sure why I bought it. It's sweet, a little bit floral, maybe a hint of apple and a slight peppery note like Pacific Daydream. Looking at the scent notes, there's the apple. When melted it smells a little bit like apple blossom, but I'm not sure if I like this scent or not because the grapefruit gives it a slightly peppery pineapple note. Either way, it's too light to even tell.

Throw: Poor, around a 1.5 or barely 2 out of 5

Stay Awhile

Atlantic seaberry, water hyacinth, red cassis and fresh, exquisite teakwood.

This smells like sweet pear nectar mixed with a perfumey scent with a warmth which might be amber, and a slight fresh air note. Looking at the scent notes, I don't know what any of those scents smell like by themselves. I guess the pear I'm smelling is seaberry or cassis. I don't smell a woodsy note. This is a nice, happy scent!

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 out of 5

RasPberry Bush

Luscious black plum and jewel like raspberries. Add a tingle of icy peppermint to this delicious duo.

I don't smell a lot of raspberry in this one. It's more like a "grown up" raspberry scent. I smell mostly a warm amber note, with a little bit of rich succulent berry in the background, more like plum than raspberries. This smells a little bit like Luna, but not as sweet. I think there's also a fresh note in there, but barely noticeable. When melted, it's a very rich scent. Looking at the scent notes, there's the plum, and the fresh note is probably the peppermint, although I don't smell any mint at all.

Throw: Fair, around a 2.5 or 3 out of 5

Brazilian Grapes

A lemony based fragrance that is not sticky like a candy but layered and nuanced, with earthy aromas of citrus and weathered wood lightened by a hint of sugar.

This one is similar to Raspberry Bush in that it's more of a warm amber Luna type scent than grape. In fact, I really don't smell grape at all, maybe more like a plum, and even that's barely noticeable. I think there's also a hint of woodsiness. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell lemon or any kind of citrus.

Throw: Not good, around a 2 out of 5, if that

Perfectly Pomegranate

Top notes of sweet, sugared berries add an extra layer of femininity to the tart base of pomegranate. Prepare for the debut of your new vivacious siren persona.

This smells like strawberry with a rich milky vanilla note like maybe whipped cream. It's not overly sweet. Looking at the scent notes, on cold sniff I don't smell any tartness. This is supposed to be a wild sexy scent, but I don't see that at all. If anything, this is more of a comfy relaxing summer scent.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5

Black Raspberry Vanilla

Delicious, sun-sweetened dark berries warmed with vanilla.

This is yet another warm ambery slightly fruity scent. After awhile they all start to smell similar. This is not a "foody" type scent, but more of a "homey" scent. I do smell raspberry or blackberry, but also a warm ambery note and a little bit of vanilla, but not a rich vanilla whipped cream note like Perfectly Pomegranate. There may also be a hint of wood and a barely detectable smidgeon of citrus. Looking at the scent notes, this scent smells more complex than just dark berries and vanilla. Melted, it takes on a richer blackberry and vanilla scent that smells better than it does on cold sniff.

Throw: Very Good, around a 3.5 out of 5

Berry Bubble Blue

A delicious blast of blue raspberry, tart green apple and spun sugar.

This is such a fantastic scent. It's like a combination of marshmallow, vanilla buttercream frosting, and cotton candy. It smells a lot like pink sugar scent, but richer and with vanilla. There's just a hint of berry (raspberry I think), which creates the cotton candy note. Looking at the scent notes, I'm surprised I don't see vanilla. And I don't smell apple.

Throw: Excellent, at least 4 out of 5

Sunkissed Citrus

Lively blend of oranges, lemons, limes, and grapefruit.

This smells like powdered orange Tang, or like an orange flavored children's vitamin. It's a fake orange scent. There may also be a hint of grapefruit in the background and possibly a barely detectable smidgeon of lime. Looking at the scent notes, they're spot on, although I expected some other notes that give it the "fake" quality. When melted, I also smelled a strong mint or eucalyptus note, the kind that clears your sinuses. But nothing like that is shown in the scent notes. I'm not a fan of this scent.

Throw: Not good, 2 or 2.5 out of 5

Cactus Flower Lime

Crisp, meditative blend of lime mist, water lotus, green tea and delicate aloe leaf.

I love this scent. It smells like the old Better Homes & Gardens Zesty Lemon Peppercorn, or Ashland Cilantro Lime from Michael's, or ScentSationals Bamboo Fusion. In fact, smelling this scent and Zesty Lemon Peppercorn side by side, they're pretty much the same scent, although Cactus Flower Lime is just slightly more savory and rich. This is a rich savory tangy lemony peppery salad herbs type scent.

Throw: Very Good, around a 3 or 3.5 out of 5

Clementine Clove

Spicy and warming clove, juicy and tangy-sweet clementine and a whisper of sharp piney resin.

I wasn't sure what to make of this when I first smelled it, because it smells a little like orange clove pomander "Pomander" is an orange or apple studded with cloves to perfume the air, usually around the holidays. I'm not a fan of orange pomander, but this one has a lot of other notes in it. I smell mostly black pepper and a soapy note, and then the cloves and then maybe a smidgeon of orange. There's also a nutty or woody note in there, or maybe a barely noticeable smidgeon of pine. It's a very complex, savory scent. Looking at the scent notes, I guess the pepper is the "sharp piney resin". Melted, it smells the same as cold sniff, but more "rich". I don't care for this scent.

Throw: Very Good, around a 3 or 3.5 out of 5

Just Breathe

Cool eucalyptus, which gives the aroma an invigorating green base. Subtle notes of zesty lemon are chilled by the frosty essence of many mint varieties.

This is a spa type lemony mint. It's not sweet, and it's not like ScentSationals Zen, due to the lemon note. There may be a hint of eucalyptus which prevents the mint from being a toothpaste type spearmint, but it's not peppermint either.

Throw: Very Good, around a 3.5 out of 5

Sugared Cherry

Ripe cherry is blended with rich and rounded Concord grape, balanced with seeds of pomegranate, tart and sweet. The fruit salad is covered with vanilla sugar and features slices of candied apple, mellow and crunchy with its shiny, sticky carnival coating.

This smells like a maraschino cherry that goes on top of a sundae, with a note of real black cherry in the background, and maybe a smidgeon of sweet vanilla. Looking at the scent notes, this scent doesn't smell nearly that complex. Grape? Now that I know it's in there, I think I can smell it. Candied apple? Maybe.

Throw: Not good, 2 or 2.5 out of 5

Coconut Lemongrass

The cool creaminess of sweet coconut milk, with the sunny zest of lemongrass.

This is another spa scent, a little similar to Just Breathe except without the mint and with the added coconut note. It's a savory lemon (lemongrass) scent with creamy, slightly sweet coconut.

Throw: Excellent, at least a 4 out of 5

Luscious Lemon

Light, creamy lemon

This smells like kitchen lemon (lemon dish detergent type scent) mixed with sweet creamy vanilla. There may also be a hint of floral in the background. It's a nice clean, fresh lemon scent but it's also yummy. I think this one is discontinued. Melted, this is definitely a soapy kitchen lemon scent and I don't really smell the "yumminess", and it has a bit of a waxy note when melted. I still like it, but I have other kitchen lemon scents by other brands that smell better.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5

Guava Honey

Tropical guava with a scattering of fruity, deeply jewel toned berries and a spritz of fresh and zesty citrus. The warmth of flowing honey is enriched with jammy berries and the rosy brightness of guava, invigorated with juicy and tart wedges of sunny yellow lemons.

I smell mostly honey with a slight note of sweet fruit. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell citrus or lemons at all.

Throw: Very Good, around a 3 or 3.5 out of 5

Cherished

Passion flower and gentle pink jasmine pack a romantic punch that is accented with the honeyed and tart tension of ruby red goji berry and peachy pink guava.

I smell apple first, but there's something a little tart in the background, maybe grapefruit? And also maybe amber for sweet warmth. It's very nice, sweet and girly, but not like pink sugar, more like maybe a high quality shampoo with maybe a very slight tropical note. Looking at the scent notes, I guess it's the goji berry or guava that I think is apple.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 of 4 out of 5

Cozy FireSIDE

A complex profile of spices sparked by the gentle heat of ginger and cinnamon.

I smell cloves, just cloves. Maybe a smidgeon of smoke. Now that I see the scent notes, I can't believe cloves are not in there. I don't smell cinnamon or ginger, although if I try really hard maybe I can detect them.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of5

Pomelo Fiesta

Three sunny citrus aromas, tangy tangerine, punchy pomelo, and sweet orange, meld with smooth vanilla, biting cayenne, and spicy ginger.

This smells a lot like lemon verbena (a spa type herbal lemony scent), which is not my favorite scent. But there are other notes in this one that give it a clean, more soapy vibe, maybe ginger? And there's a touch of sweetness. Looking at the scent notes, I see that tangerine and orange are predominant, but I don't smell orange. Pomelo is a citrus fruit that tastes like grapefruit, so maybe what I'm smelling is a combination of that grapefruit note and the orange, with the other notes. And there's the ginger. Cayenne? I don't think I smell pepper in this one. This is an interesting scent, but I'm not really a fan of it.

Throw: Good, around a 3 or maybe 3.5 out of 5

Eskimo Kiss

The cool aroma of blackberry jam, caramelized brown sugar, and a sensual blend of vanilla and amber.

Very sweet perfumey fruity scent, almost like a pink sugar or cotton candy type scent, but with more fruit and more perfume. There may also be vanilla in this one, and a sweet warmth like amber. Looking at the scent notes, they're spot on.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of5

Blessings

Classic holiday fragrances of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg are elevated to the sublime, with amber and sandalwood adding an element of elegance and refinement.

This smells like cedar and eucalyptus with maybe a smidgeon of cloves. It's not sweet at all, and it's not a Christmas tree scent. Looking at the scent notes, I don't know how eucalyptus or pine or mint are not in there, as I can smell the sinus clearing effects of the menthol. I'm not sure how accurate these scent note descriptions are! I don't smell cinnamon or nutmeg, and I guess sandalwood is the cedar I think I'm smelling. It's a nice raw masculine woodsy type scent, but I wouldn't consider it a holiday fragrance.

Throw: Fair, around a 2.5 or maybe 3 out of 5

Winter Cypress

A fresh and crisp blend of mint leaves, frosted lavender and chilled raspberry is a new way to do a festive fragrance.

This smells like a woodsy piney men's cologne with a soapy note. There may be a hint of eucalyptus, but the sweetness of the cologne note tempers that. It's a very nice, warm scent. Looking at the scent notes, I was way off! I still smell a woodsy pine note. And now that I see lavender is in this, that may be what's contributing to the cologne note. Mint is probably the eucalyptus. And I don't smell raspberry at all.

Throw: Good, around a 3 out of 5

Satin Sheets

Ravishing notes of exotic sandalwood and exotic vanillas collected from the furthest corners of the globe

The first thing I smell is milk, and then a sweetness which may be a mixture of vanilla and floral, but it's light. And way in the background there's a slight dirt smell, like potting soil. But it doesn't smell bad at all, just not a note that belongs with the other notes, or in a scent called "Satin Sheets". Looking at the scent notes, the sandalwood is probably the milk note I detect, since sandalwood tends to have a "milky" note to it. And the dirt note might actually be the wood scent of the sandalwood. Or it could be mold on the wax since there's a bit of condensation on the surface, although I don't see any mold or weird colors in the wax. I guess I'll find out when it melts.

Throw: Fair to Good, around a 2.5 or 3 out of 5

Thunderstorm

Very refreshing, sharp, spicy, outdoor fragrance; like the breeze in a storm.

This smells like soap, but it's fresh and watery and slightly floral. It has a little bit of a laundry note, and there's also a smidgeon of spiciness but not food spice, more like maybe a frankincense type spice. But it's not a men's cologne type scent. And there's also a hint of a Coppertone suntan oil type scent, but barely noticeable. It's a complex scent that could go into several different scent categories. This one has no actual scent notes listed.

Throw: Excellent, 4 out of 5

Sea Salt Mist

Softened with salty beads of pure water and brightened with mandarin orange, the fragrance is rounded out with earthy sea grass and smooth amber.

Fresh sweet watery men's body wash type scent with a fresh, slightly soapy note and maybe a smidgeon of floral. It's very nice, although similar to a lot of men's body wash type scents. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell orange at all, but maybe a barely detectable smidgeon of lemon, which I guess is actually the orange. I do smell the amber, which adds a nice warmth.

Dark Harbor

Complex combinations of green herbs and bold flower notes, with bright top notes of mint and kaffir lime and a smooth underpinning of golden amber. Classic herbal notes combine with citrus and amber for many levels of complexity. Ocean lavender pairs salty minerals and intense lavender, floral and green. Frosty mint is peppery and cool, topped with kaffir lime, and combining lemon and orange with the lime.

Nice but typical men's cologne type scent. This smells more like cologne than Sea Salt Mist, and doesn't have that slightly floral and citrus note. This one has a very slight woodsy note, like maybe a sandalwood or driftwood, and it's not overly sweet. Looking at the scent notes, wow there are a lot of notes in this one. I do smell the amber, as that provides a nice rich warmth to many cologne and perfume type scents. Mint? Not really, although possibly way in the distance. I don't smell lime or any kind of citrus.

Throw: Poor, around a 1.5 or 2 out of 5

Awakening

Blissful blend of renewing pineapple, glowing peach, and the soothing base duo of amber and vanilla.

Fantastic lemony scent with some other notes I can't detect, maybe baby powder? It's sweet and a little salty, and more of a kitchen type lemon than a bakery lemon. OK looking at the scent notes, I'm surprised there's no lemon or even orange. I don't smell pineapple or peach, as I'm not a fan of either of those scents. The amber is probably what I think is the baby powder, as it adds a nice sweet warmth. When it's melting, there's a weird note that makes it smell like second hand cigarette smoke (even though this is not a smoky scent), but in a good way, like someone smoking outside in the summer and you can barely detect the rich smoky notes but it's kind of familiar and comforting.

Throw: Excellent, 4 out of 5

Pear Blossom & Cucumber

Delicate florals hover above a pool of cool lemon scented cucumber water, with honeydew melon adding a light and fruity finish.

I almost didn't even consider this one because I don't like cucumber scents. But I don't smell cucumber in this one, or maybe it's so light I just can't detect it. I'm not sure if I even really smell pear either. It's a fresh watery scent with more of a tropical fruit note and maybe a touch of floral. Looking at the scent notes, okay it's cucumber "water", not actual cucumber, which I guess is what's providing the fresh watery note. Maybe the tropical fruit is actually the combination of lemon and honeydew melon. To me it's a nice fresh watery tropical fruit scent.

Throw: Very Good, 3.5 out of 5

Pink Tulips

Sweet night-blooming jasmine is enlivened by juicy apple and raspberries

This smells like fruit, maybe apple, melon, cherry or peach, or some mixture of a couple of these, almost like a fruit candy scent. There's also a slight floral note in the background, but this is primarily a fruity scent. Looking at the scent notes, okay apple and raspberry, I get that. Melted, it has a pink sugar or cotton candy type vibe.

Throw: Not Good, around a 2 out of 5

Shimmer

Sweet cherries are added to tangy velvety apricots. This fruity mix is grounded by a seductive hit of white musk, and frosted with a sweet dusting of spun sugar.

This still smells like apples to me, but pretty girly apples, like apple scented perfume or body lotion. I smell perfume or baby powder or floral in the background, but also a sweet sugariness. Looking at the scent notes, okay no apple, so I guess it's the cherry and apricots I smell. And the baby powder note is probably the musk.

Throw: Not Good, around a 2 or 2.5 out of 5

Snowberry

A rich medley of ripe loganberries and strawberries creates a rich and juicy base, which is given a fresh-from-the-oven feeling by a crumbly crust and dash of soothing cinnamon. A frost of cool peppermint lends a chilly element to the scent.

This is one of the most fantastic scents I've ever smelled. I love this one! I smell dark berry, like maybe black raspberry, mixed with a rich vanilla with maybe a hint of caramel and a little bit of cinnamon, and possibly amber for sweet warmth. There's also pine or eucalyptus in the background, but it's not overwhelming and does not detract from the berry scent. Looking at the scent notes, they're spot on, although this isn't a true bakery scent even though it does have bakery elements. This one is a "scent monster" and the throw is excellent, taking over the entire house. I believe I've found my #1 favorite Scentsy scent!

Ode to Opulence

Sweet black currant intertwines with golden apricot and deeply fragrant blood orange, this intricate fruity profile enriched with creamy, tropical coconut milk and finished with rare spiced vanilla.

A super rich succulent fruity scent of grape or blackberry or apricot, with perhaps some amber for warmth and maybe a sandalwood note and perhaps a smidgeon of coconut, and some other notes I can't identify. Looking at the scent notes, black currant makes sense. Currant is a fruit that has a slightly woodsy note. There's the apricot and coconut. I don't smell orange though. This is a dark, complex scent. I love it! Melted, I'm not sure if I really love it. It has a bit of a metallic note.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5

Honeymoon Hideaway

Sensual notes of exotic island lilies, sweet kiwi, and coconut palm.

I'm noticing a trend with Scentsy scents. A lot of them are very similar, with that sweet warm ambery note. This one has a fresh watery note with that sweet warm ambery background, like a high quality unisex body wash. I can't pick out any particular notes other than maybe a floral and perhaps a smidgeon of coconut. Looking at the scent notes, I guess I do smell a hint of fruit in the background. But this is not a tropical scent at all.

Throw: Poor, 1 out of 5. I could barely smell it even from a foot away.

Skinny Dippin'

Fresh green apples perfectly harmonized with refreshing melons and juicy pears.

I smell coconut and I think honeydew melon, but there may be something else in there that I can't figure out. Looking at the scent notes, apples and pears, I don't really smell those although the melon (honeydew or cantaloupe, but not watermelon) is the primary scent. I still think I smell some coconut even though it's not listed. It's a nice scent if you like melon scents, but I'm not a fan of them.

Throw: Very Good, 3.5 out of 5

Amber Road

Opulent golden amber acts as a lustrous base for teeming red cedarwood and mystical resins.

This smells like cedar wood sweetened with warm amber. It's similar to ScentSationals Vanilla Woods or Better Homes & Gardens Pure White Woods, but with slightly more amber and a tinge of a cologne note like frankincense. Fantastic scent.

Throw: Scent Monster, 5 out of 5

Quiver

Subtly spicy eastern sandalwood with a final essence of heady tuberose.

Yet another soapy perfumey scent with a warm amber note and a hint of floral. This one has a smidgeon of perfume spice like maybe frankincense, and a very subtle woodsy note, although it's more of a feminine scent.

Throw: Not Good, around a 2, maybe a 2.5, out of 5

Peppermint Dreams

Light and fluffy sugared cupcake batter with drizzles of honey as the middle note, and a top note of cool peppermint.

This smells like the inside of a peppermint patty, sweet creamy vanilla with a strong, icy peppermint. Yummy! Melted, I think I smell a little bit of chocolate, even though that's not in the scent notes.

Throw: Very Good, 3.5 out of 5

Rosewood & Freesia

Lush florals, white rose and baby freesia, blend beautifully with the more earthy base notes of rosewood and fir needles.

I didn't know that "rosewood" actually smells like a combination of rose and wood, but that's what this scent smells like. I smell an old-fashioned rose first, with a wood note in the background that I believe is pine, and I think the freesia gives it a soapy note. It's a very nice, comforting scent. Melted, the fir scent really comes out. Who knew that the combination of rose and fir/pine smelled so fantastic? This is one of new favorite scents!

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5

Coconut Flower

Lush floral notes are lifted by sunny pineapple, a little tangy and a lot sweet, and a smooth and creamy base of succulent coconut milk.

Just like the scent name, this smells like a floral with a coconut note. Actually, it smells like nice coconut scented laundry dryer sheets. Looking at the scent notes, I don't think I smell pineapple.

Throw: Very Good, 3 or 3.5 out of 5

Very Snowy Spruce

Fresh cut pine, cedar and balsam.

A nice intense spruce scent with maybe a hint of eucalyptus. Spruce is a richer, "saltier" scent than pine, and pine can sometimes have a fake "Pine-Sol" or even cat pee note. So I prefer spruce scents. Looking at the scent notes, it's probably the pine that I think is the eucalyptus, and the balsam that smells like spruce.

Throw: Scent monster, 5 out of 5

Winter Pine

Freshly cut fir tree needles mixed with white cedar along with hints of musk and fresh citrus

This is a nice smoky spruce scent with maybe a hint of eucalyptus and possibly a smidgeon of orange. It has a real Christmas tree smell rather than a fake pine scented air freshener. Looking at the scent notes, I think it's the citrus that makes this smell so fantastic (the combination of pine/spruce and orange is amazing), and there's just a smidgeon of sweetness which is the musk.

Comparing this scent to Very Snowy Spruce above, Very Snowy Spruce has a saltiness that makes it really rich, while Winter Pine has the citrus note with a hint of sweetness. <

Throw: Good, around a 3 out of 5

Lush Gardenia

Gardenia blooms, and a subtle hint of deep tuberose.

Super sweet gardenia perfume scent, and very strong on cold sniff. I really like this one! Looking at the scent notes, I think it's the tuberose that I really like in this scent, as it gives it a richer floral note.

Throw: Scent monster, 5 out of 5

Frosted Ginger Cookie

A blend of brown sugar cookie batter, warm ginger spice, rich molasses, a touch of cinnamon, and pure, sweet vanilla frosting.

I definitely smell the ginger in this one, and there's a sweet bakery note in the background. It's more gingery than a ginger snap though. Nice and strong!

Throw: This one is a scent monster, 5 out of 5

Mochadoodle

A deep, dark brew of exotic roasted coffee beans is blended with pure cocoa. Heaps of sugar and heavy cream are added. Finally, drizzles of decadent caramel and dark chocolate syrup.

This smells like a vanilla cookie with mocha (chocolate and coffee) swirls and a rich milky creaminess. It's a yummy scent, but very similar to a lot of mocha scented wax.

Throw: Very Good, around a 3 or 3.5 out of 5

Perk Me Up

The full-bodied aroma of exotic, Guatemalan coffee beans is made luxuriously rich by indulgent hazelnut.

This smells like a real cup of coffee with a lot of cream, or even half-n-half. There's only a smidgeon of sweetness, but it's not a bitter coffee scent. Looking at the scent notes, I don't think I smell hazelnut.

Throw: Not Good, around a 2, maybe a 2.5, out of 5

Everything Nice

Get your fill of delicious butter caramel, savory roasted pumpkin and crunchy sugared and toasted pecans.

This smells like rich buttery vanilla mixed with maybe brown sugar and a hint of baking spices like cinnamon, and perhaps a smidgeon of coconut. It's a yummy rich scent that's typical of many fall bakery scents. Looking at the scent notes, they're spot on, although I don't really smell pecans but I think they're way in the background.

Throw: Fair, around a 2.5 or 3 out of 5

Heartbreaker

A sensual base of deep, blended woods is made daring by an element of organic tobacco leaf. The top note of green juniper gives the scent an extra dash of excitement.

Very nice rich, slightly smoky men's cologne with a smidgeon of spruce I think. This is definitely a cologne scent and not a body wash scent, and there's no soapy note. Looking at the scent notes, juniper is the note that gives this a very slight spruce scent. I can smell the hint of tobacco too. I really like this scent. But when melted, it's just another men's cologne scent, and I don't smell the background notes of juniper and tobacco.

Throw: Fair, around a 2.5 or maybe 3 out of 5

Sno-leil

A festive punch of citrus fruits, nashi pear and icy sparkling water, topped off with a rich and creamy dollop of marshmallow mousse.

This smells like lemon verbena but there's something pungent and a little sour in the background, like satsuma, which I love, but there's other notes in this that I don't care for. It's not very strong on cold sniff. Looking at the scent notes, I think I smell the citrus, but no pear or marshmallow; in fact, it's not sweet at all. Melted, it definitely has a sour slightly chemical note that I don't like.

Throw: Very Good, around a 3.5 out of 5

Dulce de Leche

You'll enjoy the ravishing aroma of rich cream and sugar as it simmers on the stovetop, slowly turning into a thick and creamy custard of caramelized goodness.

Super sweet rich milky creamy brown sugar caramel butterscotch scent. You'll need a visit to the dentist after melting this one!

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5

Mellow Moment

Its tranquil aroma is made up of notes of herbal chamomile tea, softly floral orange blossom, and a burst of energizing apple.

This is a floral with a very slight soapy note, but I can't figure out the notes. It's a "happy" scent, like maybe sunflower with just a hint of lemon, but there's also a slightly green or herbal note. Looking at the scent notes, the herbal note is the chamomile tea, orange blossom is the floral (although it doesn't smell like a true orange blossom/neroli scent), and the apple might be the slightly lemony fruity note. I think I smell the chamomile note first, then the floral.

Throw: Excellent, 3.5 or 4 out of 5

Simply Patchouli

Indulge in the rich, spicy aroma of exotic patchouli flower.

Warm sweet rich woodsy earthiness of true patchouli. I love this scent!

Throw: Fair, around a 2.5 or 3 out of 5

Serene Green

Verdant notes of lime leaf, lemony verbena flower, and crisp, lively citrus fruits

I smell lime and perhaps a slight floral or laundry note, but it's weak on cold sniff so it's hard to tell.
