This is a review of ScentSationals Spring 2019 wax melts. These can also be found on the ScentSationals website.

Agave Lime

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Agave-Lime-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/186151310
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Agave-Lime-Fragrance-Cubes/603539817

Notes: Agave and lime, accented by cardamom and sage. A heart of freesia, cyclamen, and verbena blossom is comforted by a lush foundation of vanilla, sandalwood, and musk.

This smells like rich men's cologne with sweet and salty lemon notes. It's fantastic, and the scent lasted all day. Agave smells like a bland watery cucumber (which is what ScentSationals Blue Agave smells like, and thankfully this scent is nothing like that).

Throw: Strong, 4 out of 5

Apples! Apples! Apples!

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Apples-Apples-Apples-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/971609503
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Apples-Apples-Apples-Fragrance-Cube/303744407

Notes: Just-picked Macintosh apple blended with fruity orchard Empire, sweet Jonagold and a touch of tart Granny-Smith apples.

It's just a plain authentic apple scent. It's similar to Better Homes & Gardens Fresh Orchard Apples, but sniffing them side by side, Fresh Orchard Apples is not as authentic and has a tiny bit of a biting note. This scent is more full bodied and much more realistic, and smells very nice. But it's still just an apple scent. It's not the same as last year's ScentSationals Country Living, which was fantastic due to a slight note of pine.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Beach Please

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Beach-Please-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/758264551
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Beach-Please-Fragrance-Cubes/740353329

Notes: Sea kelp and turquoise waves mingled with salty ocean air, sun-warmed sands, and metallic seashells glinting with tropical fruit with notes of melon, guava, pineapple, and passion fruit.

This smells like a rich perfume with hints of watermelon, honeydew, maybe pineapple, and possibly a smidgen of coconut and a little vanilla. It's sweet and fresh and a little fruity, and absolutely fantastic! Someone said this reminds them of ScentSationals Coral Shores from last year, and after sniffing them side by side, I definitely agree they're very similar! First time I melted it, the throw was mild, maybe 2.75 out of 5. Second time it was stronger, Medium, like 3.25 or 3.5 out of 5

Throw: Medium, 3.5 out of 5

Cactus Garden

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Cactus-Garden-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/796868276
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Cactus-Fragrance-Cubes/645164462

Notes: Sparkling fresh top notes of misted citrus blended with a lush, herbal, fruity aloe accord wrapped in a warm body of wood with amber and spice.

A wonderful salty, savory, zesty scent with no sweetness at all, and with maybe a hint of tart lemon, although it's not a lemon scent. There might be a smidgen of a green or herbal note in the background. I really like this one. It's very similar to the new Better Homes & Gardens Sage Leaf Aloe. They're both extremely salty, and savory with a slight lemony note. I think Cactus Garden is slightly more lemony, while Sage Leaf Aloe has a tinge more of an herbal note. I like them both, but I like Cactus Garden a little more. It's also a little bit like Agave Lime, but that scent is more of a men's cologne scent, so it's sweeter. Someone said it's "treen, watery, fresh with maybe a touch of floral".

Throw: Strong, 3.75 out of 5

Cake Batter Ice Cream

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Cake-Batter-Ice-cream-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/461325060
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Cake-Batter-Ice-Cream-Fragrance-Cub/725159837

Notes: Indulge in this guilt-free, classic cake batter accord enriched with decadent, sweet buttercream while vanilla sugar swirls throughout, creating a simply divine treat!

This smells like super sweet vanilla buttercream frosting on a rich yellow cake with milk or white chocolate ganache in the middle. You might be tempted to take a bite out of the wax! It might be the same scent as an old ScentSationals scent called Chocolate Chip Cookie, although I think this scent has more of a yellow cake note. Someone else said, "This smells just like Bath & Body Works  Boardwalk Vanilla Cone! It’s a very unique vanilla note coming through, like marshmallow. There’s also a really nice element in this one that’s super rich and decadent- like a buttercream frosting! This is a must have, because it might seem like a basic vanilla cake scent, but it’s so much more!" Several other people said they definitely smell chocolate.

Throw: Strong, 3.75 out of 5

Cedar & Lavender

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Cedarwood-Lavender-Fragrance-Cube/475552155

Notes: Amber mahogany wood spirals verdant greens and elements of citrus-splashed lavender over nuances of oriental amber, marine-spiked moss and white cedar

A fantastic scent that smells like rich men's cologne, and do smell a hint of lavender. Not sure about the cedar, although there may be a smidgen of a woodsy note in the background. I'm also detecting a hint of coconut for some reason. After melting for a few hours, the cologne note started dissipating and I smell the lavender a little more. It smells a little bit like Scentsy Lavender Vanilla and Yankee Lavender Vanilla (both of which might be dupes for Bath & Body Works Lavender Vanilla). I adore this scent! Interestingly, it got stronger after almost 2 hours. At first the throw was more of a medium, like 3.25 out of 5. Then fairly strong, around 3.5 out of 5. And after 8 hours it's quite strong, like 3.75 out of 5.

Throw: Strong, 3.75 out of 5

Cotton Candy Cloud

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Cotton-Candy-Cloud-Fragrance-Cubes/259223502

Notes: The ultimate sweet spun sugar confection! A blend of fresh peach nectar with subtle undertones of shredded coconut and pink lady apple topped with a hint of lemon and wrapped in chiffon musk.

This is not a cotton candy scent, but it still smells great. It shares many cotton candy notes, such as strawberry (the main note) and lemon, but although it's sweet, it's not sweet "enough" to be true cotton candy. It has a smidgen of a salty sour note (not in a bad way) that ScentSationals Pink Velvet had (although this is nothing like that scent). It's similar to Unicorn Cake, but not the same scent. Unicorn Cake also has an orange note, a more pronounced lemon note, and a bakery note. Someone said, "There is a very light note of cotton candy, but I mostly smell sugared strawberry. It smells good, but it's not authentic cotton candy." Someone else said it smells just like Better Homes & Gardens Sugared Lavender Twist (I think there's maybe a tiny bit of a similarity). And someone else said, "This smells like the 'sugar' in Sugared Lavender Twist. If you like that one, you’ll probably like this one!" And someone else said, "This one pretty much captures what you think of when you hear cotton candy- a generic sweetness, almost like a berry, with a distinct spun sugar vanilla finish. Also, I feel like I’m picking up on a soft floral in the background. Think along the lines of Bath & Body Works Pink Petal Tea Cake." Several other people said it reminds them of the old ScentSationals Violet Sugar.

Throw: Medium, 3.25 out of 5

Crystal Healing

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Crystal-Healing-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/287738094
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Crystal-Healing-Fragrance-Cubes/984488553

Notes: This bright scent revels in the complexities of freshness, illuminated by an aura of sun kissed pomelo, sunny lemon and effervescent orange blended with a fruity floral bouquet of succulent apricot, peony petals, jasmine draped in sweet berry notes, flowing to an unexpected backdrop of sheer amber, clean musk, and a subtle hint of vanilla woods.

I can't figure out the notes for this one, but it smells great. I smell a light, authentic floral like lily (not rose, jasmine, honeysuckle, or any overly sweet florals), with a hint of lemon I think, and maybe a hint of bergamot (which gives it a tiny bit of a cologne note, although it's not a cologne scent at all). Perhaps also a smidgen of a light wood note, and even a barely detectable smidgen of powdery cinnamon way in the background that most people wouldn't notice. It smells like an authentic flower scent, not overly sweet, not perfumey, not overbearing, but just right. It's kind of similar to the Magnolia scent, but a little sweeter and with less of the lemon note. Someone said it smells like Lolita Lempicka perfume, which has some anise, violet, and vanilla. There may be a barely detectable smidgen of anise (a licorice type scent) way in the background, but I don't think most people would notice it. Someone else said, "Very deep almost powdery floral mixed with a citrusy fresh vibe." Looking at the notes, I don't smell fruity notes, especially orange.

Throw: Strong, 3.75 out of 5

Dapper

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Dapper-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/647238158
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Dapper-Fragrance-Cubes/256072193

Notes: Aquatic sea kelp and brilliant marine mosses that reveal black peppered basil and earthy sage embraced by white cedar, cardamom, grated nutmeg, and salted musk with amber.

I thought this was the same scent as ScentSationals Fusion Bourbon, but sniffing them side by side, they're similar but not the same. This is a men's cologne scent with a little bit of a smoky cedar note. It's very nice, and the scent lasted for at least 8 hours.

Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5

Flamingo

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Flamingo-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/356009074
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Flamingo-Fragrance-Cubes/732968460

Notes: Walmart website: Fruity floral fragrance blending pink lemon, waterlily and mandarin with peony, freesia, and jasmine, and a base of musk, white woods, and vanilla.
Notes: ScentSationals website: Pikake, hibiscus and pineapple flower sparkle above notes of pink mango, ripe guava and Polynesian papaya sweetened with coconut blossom and emerald palm (I think this is the correct one based on how it smells.)

This is a sour tropical fruit scent with a zesty sour note. It's been used for many other tropical scents, and with good reason, because it smells great! The notes that some people have said they detect in this scent include grapefruit, pineapple, melon, and peach. I don't really detect any of those, although maybe a hint of the grapefruit. It smells to me like a combination of satsuma (a small orange/ mandarin type citrus fruit with a pungent, sour, fruity lemon note) and a tropical fruit like small yellow guava (which can have a bit of a pungent bay leaf type note, unlike pink guavas which are sweeter). I got it! It's a dupe of ScentSationals Mango Luau (from 2017), Better Homes & Gardens Wild Island Fruit (from 2014 I think), AmbiEscents Passion Fruit Love, and AmbiEscents Brazilian Sunset. The notes for ScentSationals Mango Luau were "papaya sweetened with sugar, mango, guava and tropical passionfruit with hints of vanilla", although I'm not sure how accurate that is, since this scent is not sweet. I love it though! Someone said it reminds them of ScentSationals Himalayan Pink Salt with more grapefruit (but I don't think it smells like that at all).

Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5

Flower Shop

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Flower-Shop-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/604597666
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Flower-Shop-Fragrance-Cubes/693441780

Notes: A bouquet of lilac, hyacinth, and baby's breath revels emerald carnation, rock rose, and hints of freesia wrapped in a blooming lily freshness

This smells like authentic spring flowers. It's not perfumey or soapy, and it's not even all that sweet. It really smells like I have a vase of lilies, lilacs and hyacinths on the table. Fantastic! The label shows tulips, but tulips don't have a scent! Someone else said, "Lilac first, very authentic florals."

Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5

Inner Zen

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Inner-Zen-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/760074467
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Inner-Zen-Fragrance-Cubes/524238319

Notes: Vibrant garden mint and crushed eucalyptus embraced by acquatic spearmint and frosted rosemary accents

I think this is the same scent as last year's Better Homes & Gardens Aromatherapy Rosemary & Spearmint. This is pure spearmint. It's not a chewing gum or  sweet candy spearmint (although someone said it smells like Wrigley's spearmint gum), but more like fresh spearmint from the garden, although it is a LITTLE sweet. It does have a bit of a toothpaste note, but again, not as sweet. I don't smell eucalyptus at all (which would have a bit of a pine note). If you like spearmint scents, you will adore this one! I'm not a fan of spearmint, and even I like it. It's also a good mixer... combine it with lemon and/or lavender to make a nice spa scent, or with a fresh air, laundry, cologne, or vanilla scent. It seems like everyone who has tried this scent loves it!

Throw: Strong, 3.75 out of 5

Jiggle Wiggle Strawberry

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Jiggle-Wiggle-Strawberry-Fragrance/831473008

Notes: Home-made strawberry jam topped with bright notes of lemon peel and dusted with raw sugar cane, supported by crystallized vanilla swirls.

On cold sniff this smells just like strawberry Jell-O, or more specifically, the powder used to make Jell-O. It might have a little bit of raspberry in it as well. It's not an authentic strawberry scent, nor is it meant to be. It's more of a sweet strawberry candy scent. When melted, however, that slightly tart note that I thought might be raspberry became more pronounced, and turned into more of a chemical note that I don't care for. It's still a nice scent, but I liked it better on cold sniff. A couple of other people agreed about the chemical note.

Throw: Strong, 4 out of 5

Magnolia

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Magnolia-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/433141090
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Magnolia-Fragrance-Cubes/383049410

Notes: A bouquet of rose, jasmine, and cherry blossom are settled into the heart of the fragrance. The base is comprised of lush leafy greens with soft undertones of apple peel brightened by lemongrass and grounded by crisp musk.

An authentic floral scent that smells a little bit like the Crystal Healing scent, but it's a little less sweet, a little more rich, slightly more lemony, and with a slightly salty note. It's not a lemony scent though, but I think the hint of lemon is there because it makes the floral note smell more authentic (I think magnolia flowers do have a hint of a lemon). It has a bit of a soapy powdery rose note, but it's not perfumey at all. It's a completely different floral from the Flower Shop scent (which is more lilac/hyacinth, and doesn't have the salty and lemony notes). Fantastic scent. Someone said, "I smell a bit of rose, but good rose, not soapy old lady rose." Someone else said they smell powdery rose and lemon.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Pacific Coast Highway

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Pacific-Coast-Highway-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/539796343
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Pacific-Coast-Highway-Fragrance-Cub/137296061

The notes on both the Walmart and ScentSationals website are wrong; they're the notes for Better Homes & Gardens Smoky Gray Mist (Softly smoked woods surrounded by the emerald freshness of crystal marines, shimmering ozone, and cool citrus fruit splashed over dewy cyclamen and aromatic herbs touched by amber)

I smell pineapple, strawberry and maybe a little orange, along with a hint of a fresh air note. It's
a very pleasant scent. Someone said it's a coconutty beachy scent.

Throw: Medium, 3 out of 5

Peace & Love

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Peace-Love-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/234784308

Notes: Sweet greens and tropical pineapple spun with crushed lavender petals and sugared berries.

This smells like a garden herb with a little bit of a lemony note (but it's not a lemongrass or spa type scent at all). It's a very "natural" scent, and it's savory rather than sweet. It has a bit of a sour and slightly salty note. I'm not a fan of this one, but I think it would make a good mixer for sweet floral scents, to tone them down and give them a more natural, authentic feel. Someone said it smells like a sweet jasmine type flower, several people said it smells like bubble gum, and a couple of people said it's "too sweet". Someone else said mostly sweet with a little citrus and a strange minty herbal note. Maybe my sniffer is off or I got a bad batch, because I don't smell ANY sweetness, flowers or fruity notes in this scent, despite the fact that lavender and sugared berries are in the notes. Nope, it's just me! I had a friend sniff it, and he said it smells "kind of like sweet fruit"!

Throw: Medium, 3.25 out of 5

Strawberry Orange

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Strawberry-Orange-Fragrance-Cubes/185314149

Notes: Zesty citrus orange spun with sweet hints of fresh meadow strawberry swirled with creamy undertones of smooth vanilla bean.

This smells like super sweet strawberry and orange hard candy. What else can I say? It's incredible and I adore this scent! Someone said this is tart and reminds her of Better Homes & Gardens Pink Sugar Berry (I do get a smidgen of tartness, probably from the orange, although it may also have a hint of raspberry, and the similarity to Pink Sugar Berry might just be the strawberry note).

Throw: Strong, 4 out of 5

Sugar High

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Sugar-High-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/195961407
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Sugar-High-Fragrance-Cubes/838653745

Notes: Tantalizing notes of blueberry, sweet raspberry, gleaming acai berry, and a smooth blend of cream and pure vanilla sugar.

On cold sniff it smells like super sweet burnt sugar with a little bit of maple syrup and a hint of caramel and possibly a smidgen of apple (but it's not a "caramel apple" scent). Looking at the notes, no apple. But raspberry, yes a little. I don't smell blueberry though. However, there's something about this scent that does remind me of last year's Better Homes & Gardens Blueberry Bundt Cake (and maybe also Better Homes & Gardens Jamaican Rum Gelato), both with that almost nauseatingly sweet buttery richness. Someone said it smells like a scent called Circus Concessions that's available in vendor wax (description: cotton candy, caramelized apples and hints of funnel cakes). Someone said, "This is pungent and has some tartness to it. It reminds me a bit of Better Homes & Gardens Pink Sugar Berry which I don’t care for, but even more tart." (I personally don't get tartness from this one). Someone else said, "If high fructose corn syrup had a scent, this would be it!" I really like this scent, but from what others are saying, it's a bit too rich and sweet for some people. You could temper some of that sweet richness by mixing in a cube of plain vanilla or apple, or turn it into a completely different scent by mixing it with lemon, orange, or even a lavender that might be too medicinal and needs some sweetness. Mix into pretty much any scent that needs more sugar!

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Sun Drenched Linen

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Sun-Drenched-Linen-Fragrance-Cubes/945376750

Notes: A refreshing blend of coconut, linen, cashmere and sparkling aldehydes is accented by
salty accords in this fruity, clean fragrance experience. Sandalwood, musk and amber creates a warming sensation.

On cold sniff this smells like a sweet harsh laundry scent. When melted, it takes on a tiny bit of a burnt vinyl chemical note that I don't like.  Someone said this smells just like fresh clean laundry though, and someone else said it's a laundry scent with a touch of fresh, summery cologne. This smells almost exactly like the new Better Homes & Gardens Coconut Cabana Linen scent, but ScentSationals doesn't put out the same scents at Walmart in the same season. I think Sun Drenched Linen has a smidgen of a cologney note (barely noticeable) and Coconut Cabana Linen has a smidgen of a coconut note. But I think they start with the same base scent. It looks like I'm the only one who thinks they smell the same. Someone said, "Sun-Drenched Linen smells like a fresh men’s cologne and Coconut Cabana Linen is brighter with a tropical note." Someone else said, "I don't think they smell anything alike. Coconut Cabana Linen has a strong coconut to it."

Throw: Strong, 4 out of 5

This Is Us

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-This-is-Us-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/805025302
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-This-Is-Us-Fragrance-Cubes/603768323

Notes: Rich pumpkin puree with bright nuances of golden apples, red berries, juicy mandarin, and warming nuances of cider spices, cinnamon sticks, and musk

This is a fall scent, so I'm not sure why it's coming out in the spring! It's an apple scent with a sour note, like old apples that have fallen on the ground at the end of the season, and mixed with a little dirt. Although that description sounds awful, it's actually really nice, and very authentic. There may be a barely detectable smidgen of spice like cinnamon, but it's not really an apple cider scent as it's not overly sweet. Someone else said it's a "dirt scent patchouli" (hmm, I wonder if this does have patchouli; I don't smell that, but if it does have patchouli in it, maybe that's why I like it so much!). Looking at the notes, no patchouli, but I do see pumpkin which I don't smell at all (no nutmeg notes). I don't smell mandarin (orange) or musk either.

Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5

Unicorn Cake

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ScentSationals-2-5-oz-Unicorn-Cake-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/213822501
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scent-Sationals-Scts-Unicorn-Cake-Fragrance-Cubes/834424926

Notes: Pink sugar cake drizzled with sugared berry icing infused with fruit nectars and the sweet essence of ripe strawberries

This is a fantastic scent that smells like strawberry, raspberry, orange, and lemon, all mixed with a little bit of a yellow cake note. It's like Pink Sugar plus cake minus any perfumey notes, but with the addition of orange that makes it smells a little like Better Homes & Gardens Orange Buttercream Cupcake (which is why people have said this smells like Fruit Loops cereal), and lemon that makes it smell a little like Better Homes and Gardens Iced Lemon Pound Cake). It's sweet but not sickeningly sweet, and it has just a smidgen of tartness, probably from the lemon. It smells like a much much sweeter, fruitier version of ScentSationals Pink Velvet from 2016. It's also similar to (but not the same as) Cotton Candy Cloud (but with more orange and lemon, plus the bakery (a bit of a yellow cake) note that Cotton Candy Cloud does not have). Someone said it's a white cake with lemon undertones, as well as a nutty undertone with coconut, and when melted, the lemon note disappears. Someone else said, "This one is suuuper similar to Better Homes & Gardens Fresh Pulled Taffy. It’s almost a lemon citrusy sugary sweet scent! Reminds me of those Lemon Girl Scout cookies!!" Someone else said it has a "weird tangy cake note...like sour cake", and I kind of agree with that! Someone else said it "smells like a yummy sweet blueberry cake that I’d want to eat." I knew it smelled like something I've smelled before, but when she said blueberry, it hit me. It's a dupe of (or very similar to) an older blueberry bakery type scent, not Better Homes & Gardens Blueberry Bundt Cake, but blueberry pancakes or cupcakes or something like that, from 2013 or 2014. I don't have any of those scents anymore to compare, but now that I know it's blueberry, I can't unsmell the blueberry. So I actually like this scent more now! I still do smell the other notes too though, like raspberry, orange, lemon, and the yellow cake note.

Video

I reviewed several new spring scents in the beginning of January, which used the new hard wax formula. But I found these at the end of January, and they use the older soft wax formula. I've never seen these scents before, so it's possible they're older and I just missed them.

Coconut Verbena
This scent name is actually quite accurate. This is coconut with a smidgen of lime (verbena has a lemony note). It doesn't smell like a coconut lime tropical drink though, since it's not very sweet. On cold sniff it's a little generic and waxy, but it smells much better melted, with a little bit of a nutty note. It reminds me of ScentSationals Smoked Coconut Palm.
Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Cucumber Melon
I normally don't like melon scents if the melon is cantaloupe, or even some watermelon scents, but this one is quite nice because it's honeydew melon. And there is a hint of a bland watery cucumber note, but there's also a slight floral note that offsets that blandness. It's actually a nice scent, although it does have a tiny bit of a bug spray vibe.
Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Cypress Grove
This is just a nice smoky pine/Christmas tree scent. Although it wasn't part of their Christmas collection. Obviously a pine scent repackaged with a different name.
Throw: Very faint, 1.5 out of 5

Lemonberry Scone
I'm surprised they didn't reuse their fantastic Lemon Bars scent for this one, but no, it's a different scent, although similar. Lemon Bars is a sweet, rich bakery lemon scent. This scent is a little more lemony, a little less sweet, and has a smidgen of a soapy lemongrass note (although no berry notes). I love both scents!
Throw: Strong, 3.75 out of 5

Spiced Mahogany
This smells like sweet tobacco with maybe a hint of cinnamon and patchouli. It may also have a hint of bergamot that gives it a little bit of a men's cologne note. I really like this one.
Throw: Faint, 2 out of 5

Sweet Mint Leaf
Living Colors is notorious for re-using scents and giving them names that have nothing to do with the scent. This is one of those times. This is not a sweet scent, nor does it have any mint in it. It's a dupe of an older scent of sour tropical fruit. It may be the same scent as Island Nectar from May 2016, or Tropical Zest from May 2017, or Nectarine & Mint from January 2018, or Tropical Sunset from June 2018 (and these may all in fact be the same scent).
Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Vanilla Sea Salt
This is weak on cold sniff, but from what I can tell, it's a very nice combination of vanilla and musk with a hint of a laundry note and maybe a smidgen of lavender and patchouli. It smells a lot like Febreze Unstopables Vanilla and Scentsy Lavender Vanilla (which I've heard smells like Bath & Body Works Lavender Vanilla).
Throw: Faint, 2 out of 5

Vintage Oak
This is a men's cologne scent. No notes stand out. It has a smidgen of a waxy note, but it's still a very nice scent.
Throw: Faint, 2.5 out of 5

Spring 2018 was the first year that Better Homes & Gardens came out with the new "Aromatherapy" melts in these oval clamshells at Walmart (reviewed HERE). 8 new scents were released at that time. This year, only 4 new Better Homes & Gardens Aromatherapy scents were released.

Bergamot & Sage
- https://www.walmart.com/ip/Better-Homes-Gardens-2-5-oz-Bergamot-Sage-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/564119145
- https://www.walmart.com/ip/Better-Homes-and-Gardens-Scented-Wax-Cubes-Bergamot-and-Sage/283610031
A zesty slightly herbal cologney scent with a salty note. It's savory and just a little sweet. When melted there's also a tiny bit of a soapy note and possibly a barely detectable smidgen of pine. I really like this scent.
Throw: Mild, 2.75 out of 5

Frankincense & Patchouli
- https://www.walmart.com/ip/Better-Homes-Gardens-2-5-oz-Frankincense-Patchouli-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/386485010
- https://www.walmart.com/ip/Better-Homes-and-Gardens-Scented-Wax-Cubes-Frankincense-and-Patchouli-6-pack/461140120
Notes: Gently spiced olibanum, warm patchouli, and woody vetiver reveal notes of patchouli and ambered floralcy
This is a dupe of so many other scents, including ScentSationals Dark Musk (from Meijer), ScentSationals Barton Springs from H.E.B., and ScentSationals Date Night duo's Moonlit Walk. It's a super rich men's cologne scent unlike any others I've smelled. It's warm, with an ambery note, and a barely detectable hint of smokiness. But what sets it apart is a rich almost foodie quality that might be a hint of blackberry, vanilla, and/or caramel. It may also have a smidgen of patchouli way in the background. My description doesn't do it justice. It's an incredible scent. And it lasted all day, at least 8 hours.
Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5

Jasmine & Ylang Ylang
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Better-Homes-gardens-Bhg-Jasmine-Ylang-Ylang-Eo-Infused-Fra/604072962
On cold sniff I smell more of the jasmine and even a honeysuckle or orange blossom note, which smells great. But when melted, it takes on an odd slightly bitter herbal note with a smidgen of cinnamon or spiciness. I guess that's supposed to be the Ylang, but it smells nothing like Ylang. I would still classify it as a floral, but it has that odd herbal note that I'm not sure I like.
Throw: Medium, 3.25 out of 5

Sandalwood & Vanilla
- https://www.walmart.com/ip/Better-Homes-Gardens-2-5-oz-Sandalwood-Vanilla-Scented-Wax-Melts-4-Pack/197726629
- https://www.walmart.com/ip/Better-Homes-and-Gardens-Scented-Wax-Cubes-Sandalwood-and-Vanilla/962670458
Notes: Warm sandalwood with notes of dark amber softened with vanilla
This is the same scent as ScentSationals Exotic Sandalwood from Meijer, and AmbiEscents Sandalwood Vanilla. Sandalwood smells like light milky wood, and I think I detect a little bit of that in this scent. I don't really smell the vanilla, but there is a smidgen of sweetness which may indeed be the vanilla. But the main note is oud, which is a deep resinous tree woodsy scent that can have a sour note, which this scent does have, but not nearly enough to ruin the scent. Amber adds a warm note, and I'm not sure if I smell that. It's a fantastic scent, one of my favorites.
Throw: Medium, 3.25 out of 5

Yankee Candle Wax Melts Reviews (Walmart) - Spring 2019

Yankee Candle Wax Melts Reviews (Walmart) - Spring 2019

Yankee Candle Wax Melts from Walmart - Spring 2019

Video

This year Yankee Candle only put out 5 new scents in their Walmart wax melt Spring 2019 collection. For the past few years, the new Spring line consisted of 20 to 24 new scents!

Blush Bouquet

Notes: Top: Cherry Blossoms; Mid: Peony, Sweet Pea, Lily; Bottom: Amber

This is a very sweet floral scent with a perfumey note. I think it's cherry blossoms with maybe a smidgen of baby powder, but there's also some other floral note in there like maybe jasmine and/or rose, and a tiny bit of amber like warmth. It's a little bit like a Pink Sugar scent but without the fruit, very sweet and girly. I really like it!
Someone in our Facebook group said "On cold sniff, there’s a light floral fragrance, mixed with just a bit of light perfume. It’s too floral for me to say 'clean', but it leans that way. When melted, it’s true to its cold scent. Lightly floral—spring flowers mixed with a light rose. There is a bit of perfume, but it’s not musky. The throw is pretty good but not too strong 3.5-4 out of 5. It’s lasting a long time, too. I definitely catch the peonies, but I think the mixture takes it away from authentic peony scent, moving it more to a light pink rose. It also mentions amber, which must be the mild perfume scent."

Throw: Medium, 3.25 out of 5

Floral Candy

Notes: Traces of pear blossom, sparkling rose water, sugared rose petals, lily, Ylang Ylang, powdery musk & marshmallow

I thought based on the scent name that this would be Pink Sugar scent, but it's completely different. Pink Sugar is a super sweet raspberry based girly perfume scent. This is also not a cotton candy scent, as that is more fruity, with raspberry and lemon notes, and no floral or perfumey notes. This scent is more of a candy scent with a floral note. It's perfumey, but not as sweet and rich as Pink Sugar can be. It has a vanilla marshmallowy note, and only a slight fruity note (strawberry or apple, maybe?). Although the throw is bold and I can smell it throughout the house, it's not an overly strong scent, so it's not overwhelming. Getting a strong throw from this type of scent is unusual!

Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5

Seaside Woods

Notes: Top: Orange Blossoms, Cool Citrus; Mid: Sweet Alyssum, Acacia; Bottom: Cottonwood, Driftwood

Fantastic scent that smells like a light beach wood, musk, a sweet floral like sweet pea, and a little bit of sweet tobacco and maybe a smidgen of patchouli. It's a very unique scent and I love it. Looking at the notes, there's the beach wood (driftwood) and sweet floral (acacia and alyssum), but no tobacco, and I don't smell any citrus notes. If I had to classify it, I'd say it's kind of an incensey scent, but it's also a little bit perfumey.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Turquoise Glass

Notes: Top: Iced Watermelon, Peach Tea; Mid: Sea Breeze, Tiara Flower, Freesia; Bottom: Musk, White Cedarwood

A fresh, watery, slightly sweet scent with a smidgen of floral and fruit (watermelon? apple?), but it's definitely a fresh scent rather than a floral or fruity scent, and it's not perfumey at all, nor does it have the salty note that some oceany scents tend to have. It has a tiny bit of a soapy note that makes it smell a little like shower gel, but although it's sweet, it's not quite sweet enough for shower gel. It may also have a smidgen of coconut. I have a lot of scents that are similar to this one, but I still like it.
Someone in our Facebook group said, "There is a soapy or perfume undertone, but the scent in the foreground is much like clean spring or ocean water. It doesn’t quite have the salty quality of salt water, and it’s not quite as mineral based as spring water, but there’s definitely a water tone. I’d say this is a clean smell. I don’t know how they capture the scent of a color, but if turquoise had a scent, this would be it. I think there is also something sweet floating around in there. I would still qualify this as a 'clean scent', but it’s completely different from any linen, laundry, or soap scent."

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

White Strawberry Bellini

Notes: Top: Pineapple, Orange; Mid: Mango, Peach Nectar, Chilled Champagne; Bottom: Sugar

This might be one of the best fruity scents I've ever smelled! I smell strawberry, raspberry, pineapple, and maybe a hint of guava or mango. It's a super syrupy sweet candy like fruity scent with a hint of tartness. Someone in our Facebook group said it's a "really sweet strawberry/champagne fragrance." Strangely, there's no strawberry in the scent notes.

Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5

Video

These scents were not available when I did my first Goose Creek Candle Spring 2019 wax melts review in January.

Lavender Vanilla

Description: This soothing aroma will drift you into a deeply relaxing mood.

Notes: Top: Fresh Lavender, Violet, Rose; Mid: Red Fruits, Jasmine; Base: Amber, Cedarwood, Warm Vanilla

I adore this scent! It's authentic lavender with a rich vanilla buttercream note, and maybe a smidgen of caramel. It also has a warm note, like amber or cashmere. And possibly another barely detectable floral way in the background, like gardenia. It's sweet but not perfumey. All of the notes are balanced just perfectly. There are lots of other lavender vanilla scents out there, and they all smell like the Bath & Body Works or Yankee Lavender Vanilla, with that odd coconut note. I really like those other lavender vanilla type scents, but nothing compares to this one. This might be one of the best scents I've ever smelled!! Looking at the notes, I don't smell fruit or rose.

Throw: Medium, 3.25 out of 5

Orange Cream Soda

Description: Orange soda is poured over sweet vanilla cream satisfying every classic float lover.

Notes: Top: Creamy Vanilla, Bright Orange; Mid: Mixed Citrus, Soft Fizz; Base: Soda Notes, Sugar

This smells just like an orange creamsicle. I've smelled other orange vanilla and orange dreamsicle type scents before, but this one might be the best. It's a nice balance of fake, slightly tangy orange drink powder (in a good way) with super sweet creamy vanilla. I can't stop smelling it! I think it's a little more orangey/tangy than other similar scents I've smelled, which is also a good thing. Looking at the scent notes, I don't detect any fizzy or soda notes, which is also a good thing.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Sunday Drive

Description: Windows down, hair is blowing as you cruise down the backroads without a care in the world.

Notes: Top: Cactus Flower, Soft Raspberry; Mid: Sparkling Lemon, Jasmine; Base: Sun-Kissed Coconut, Vanilla

I love this scent! It smells like a combination of coconut, a rich warm floral, a fruity note like raspberry, and a little bit of a cologne note, although it's not a cologne scent at all. It's sweet but not perfumey. Looking at the scent notes, they're right on point, although I don't smell lemon, and cactus flower might be the salty note that I think is bergamot (which gives scents a cologney note).

Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5

Unicorn Candy

Description: The mouthwatering aroma of sour candies covered with sparkling sugar.

Notes: Top: Blue Raspberry, Candied Sugar; Mid: Rock Candy, Peach Crème; Base: Wild Currant, Mixed Berry

This smells like a super sweet raspberry and blueberry (blue raspberry?) candy with a hint of lemony tartness. It has a cotton candy note, but it's not quite as sugary and does have that hint of lemon. It smells like a blue raspberry slushie, or fruity hard candies. I love this scent, and it lasted all day!
Someone in the group said it "has a pronounced blue raspberry with a touch of sugar or cotton candy maybe. It’s sweet, but brighter. It reminds me of snow cones at the carnival."

Comparing this to ScentSationals Unicorn Cake and Hobby Lobby Unicorn Dreams, all 3 scents are completely different from each other, despite the similar names.

Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5

Yuzu Lime

Description: A bright citrus blend. The aroma of beautiful farm-fresh citruses fill the air.

Notes: Top: Sharp Citrus, Yuzu Lime, Lime Juice;
Mid: Lemon Juice, Grapefruit, Mandarin; Base: Sparkling Water, Light Musk

Yuzu is a citrus fruit that has zesty notes of lemon, lime, bitter grapefruit, mandarin (orange), and oregano. I smell the orange first, with the lime note. It's a little sweet. Looking at the notes, I don't smell musk, as it's not a perfumey scent at all. And there are sparkling, fizzy notes. I really like this one, but the scent dissipated within 2 hours.

Throw: Strong, 3.75 out of 5

Hanna's Candle Wax Melts Reviews - Easter Spring 2019 "Brilliant & Bright" Collection

Video

These new Easter/Spring 2019 wax melts are fantastic, and some of the first new scents that Hanna's Candle has come out with in over a year.

Berries & Blooms

Notes: Strawberry, Raspberry, Pink Peony, Vanilla, and Spun Sugar

This might be one of the most incredible scents I've ever smelled! Just like the scent name, it's a combination of berries (definitely strawberry, and maybe a hint of raspberry?) and blooms (honeysuckle?). But it's much more complex than that. It's super rich, super sweet strawberry, like strawberry preserves or thick sweet strawberry syrup that you drizzle over ice cream. But it's not an entirely foodie scent either, because there's also a strong note of a rich, sweet, warm floral like honeysuckle. Although it's sweet, it's not musky or perfumey. And the scent lasted all day (at least 8 or 10 hours).

Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5

Butterfly Wings

Notes: Gardenia and Mimosa blend with Orange Flower, Tuberose, Lush Violet, and Exotic Woods

This is a floral scent but it's also very, very bitter. I thought it might be the same as their Peony & Rose Bouquet scent, which I recall as also being very bitter, but the notes are different. I'm not a fan of this scent at all, but like the Peony & Rose Bouquet, I think I'm in the minority and most people seem to really like it. I don't smell any of those scent notes.

Throw: Strong, 4 out of 5

Cherry Blossoms

Notes: Red Berries, Lychee, Jasmine, Cherry Blossom, Freesia, Peony, Lavender, Amber, and Musk

This is a bit different from cherry blossom scents I usually smell, which are more soft and powdery. This smells a bit like a girly perfume, very sweet with a bit of a Pink Sugar note. I do smell a little musk, but also a fruity note (more strawberry than cherry) and a very sweet floral like gardenia or jasmine, and maybe a smidgen of vanilla or marshmallow that gives it a tiny bit of a cotton candy vibe. I love it! It's completely different from their Wild Cherry Blossom scent.

Throw: Mild, 2.5 out of 5

Cottontails & Clover

Notes: Orange Blossom, Geranium, Bois de Rose, Coconut, and Sea Salt

I really like this scent. It smells a little like Coppertone Suntan oil, but not as much as other Coppertone type scents I've smelled. It also has a bitter note, but not enough to be annoying. Looking at the notes, I think I do detect a smidgen of coconut, and the orange blossom is what gives it that Coppertone type note. The geranium might be the bitterness. It's similar to their Starry Night, Strength (Benditaroma), and Sandy Beach scents, but not the same.

Throw: Strong, 4 out of 5

Morning Dew

Notes: Plumeria, Freesia, Cyclamen, Lily of the Valley, Violet, Sandalwood, and Musk

A pleasant soft plumeria type floral with sweet watery notes, maybe a hint of vanilla or marshmallow, and a smidgen of musk. It's not a perfumey scent, and it's not even much of a floral as it has that slightly marshmallowy note. It's very nice. It's the same as their Benditaroma Protection scent.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Speckled Treasure

Notes: Misty Fresh Ozone, Citrus, Sweet Red Apple, Tart Green Apple, Subtle Wood, and Musk

I smell mostly apple, with a hint of something else, maybe a fresh air note and caramel? It has a tiny bit of a soapy note, and possibly a smidgen of floral although it's not perfumey or even overly sweet. It's a very nice, pleasant scent.

Throw: Strong, 4 out of 5

Cranberry Mandarin

Notes: Red currant, juicy orange, crisp cranberry, spices, and fresh apple

This scent has been around for years, and it's made by a lot of other wax melt companies. But I like Aldi version the best. It's a bold sweet orange scent but it's not citrusy, and I detect the slight tartness of the cranberry. It might also have a smidgen of a red berry type note. Fantastic scent! This is the same scent as Hanna's Candle's Cranberry Mandarin  (not confirmed by Hanna's). Looking at the notes, I don't smell any spices at all, but I guess the other fruit note I'm detecting is the apple (barely noticeable). And red currant is the first note, so no wonder I love this scent so much. Currant is a fig-like soapy scent with a tiny bit of tartness, a hint of a perfumey note, and a smidgen of a berry note with hardly any sweetness. It's a very sophisticated scent that, when mixed with other scents, gives them a classy note.

Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5

Fresh Linen

Notes: Sweet baltic amber and sandalwood mixed with florals of jasmine, honeysuckle and zinnia, with fresh berries and a hint of vanilla praline

This is different from any other laundry type scent I've smelled, and it's a completely different scent from their Fresh Cotton Blossom scent from January 2018. It smells like musk with vanilla and baby powder, although it does have a bit of a laundry note. It's not a biting laundry scent at all, and unlike most fabric softener scents, it's not overly sweet or overly "laundry". It's a very pleasant scent.

It's the same scent as Hanna's Candle's Jasmine Breeze Aromabeads Singles (not confirmed by Hanna's). Hanna's makes Aldi melts, so it makes sense. You can buy the Singles on the Hanna's website at https://candlemart.com/products/aromabeads-singles-jasmine-breeze-scented-wax-melts for one, or https://candlemart.com/products/aromabeads-singles-jasmine-breeze-wax-melts-10-pack for a 10 pack. These are only 1 oz. each, so if you love the scent, go for the 10 pack!

Throw: Medium, 3.25 out of 5

Lavender & Thyme

Notes: A beautiful aroma of lavender, jasmine flowers, and rose petals blended with the sultry notes of sandalwood and musk

This is the same scent that came out in January 2018. It's an authentic lavender scent. It has a hint of sweetness, but it's not a sweet, powdery lavender scent. I don't smell thyme, but there may be a hint of eucalyptus, and it does have a little bit of a medicinal note, but not overwhelming. It's a perfect lavender scent. If you prefer a sweeter lavender, mix it with a floral, perfumey, or vanilla scent. If you like spa lavender, mix it with lemon, mint, or pine. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell jasmine, rose or musk. I believe that, like last year's Lavender & Thyme scent from Aldi, this is the same scent as Hanna's Candle's Lavender Thyme (not confirmed by Hanna's).

Throw: Medium, 3.5 out of 5

Tranquil Waters

Notes: A bright blue sky reflected in shimmering waters where delicate water lilies float with violet, rose and freesia blossoms before drifting into the warmth of sun-kissed driftwood, sheer musks, and white amber crystals

This is the same scent as Mainstays Peaceful Waters from Walmart, a sweet watery scent with a rich warm vanilla note that gives it a foodie note, and possibly musk as it's also a little perfumey. It's also the same scent as Hanna's Candle's Tranquil Waters (not confirmed by Hanna's).

Throw: Bold, 5 out of 5

These are the first new scents that Hanna's Candle has come out with in over a year, and I was excited to review these! They also just came out with a new Easter collection.

Hugs & Kisses
Notes: Luscious chocolate
On cold sniff this smells like chocolate buttercream with a hint of coffee and a smidgen of nut. But melted, the coffee note really comes out and it smells like mocha, without the buttercream and nutty notes. It's quite nice, and doesn't have the bitter note that some chocolate scents tend to have. I don't think it's the same as any of their other chocolate scents.
Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Love Gives You Wings
Notes: Sweet vanilla
This is a vanilla cake scent with a smidgen of a nutty note. It might be the same as their Vanilla Frosted Cupcake scent.
Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Passion
Notes: Red hot cinnamon
This does indeed smell like red hot cinnamon candies. It might be the same as their Candied Cinnamon, Ground Spice & Cinnamon, or Jolly Rancher Cinnamon Fire scent. I'm not a fan of straight cinnamon scents, but this one is quite nice. It has a hint of warmth (perhaps cloves) and it's very sweet, like cinnamon candy.
Throw: Strong, 3.75 out of 5

Coconut Lime

I was not expecting this scent to smell as good as it does. I expected it to smell like mostly coconut with a hint of lime. But instead, it's a perfect combination of sweet creamy lime and coconut. It's a nice sweet scent with just a smidgen of saltiness, like a creamy tropical lime drink, and it's fantastic.

Comparing it to other similar scents, I like this new Mainstays Coconut Lime scent the best:

ScentSationals Coconut Lime and Better Homes & Gardens Island Coconut Lime (same scent) and ScentSationals Coconut Vacay smell completely different. Coconut Lime is mostly coconut with a slightly salty lime note, and Coconut Vacay is an even mix of coconut and lime, but the lime is slightly salty and lemony. Neither of these scents are sweet.

Yankee Perfect Margarita / Margarita Time is a fresh sweet creamy lime scent, and I don't really smell coconut. It's a great scent, but it's richer and more "limey" than the Mainstays scent, with another note that I've never cared for, maybe honey, which sounds great, but it makes this scent too rich.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Papaya Passion
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-Papaya-Passion-Wax-Melts/870098087

A tropical fruit scent with notes of pineapple and papaya, and possibly a smidgen of coconut. It's sweet but not overly sweet, and not overly pineapply. After doing this review, I realized that this scent has returned from last year, and I reviewed it in February 2018. Throw was strong last year, 4 out of 5, but as we all know, there are a lot of variables that can affect throw.

Throw: Medium, 3.5 out of 5

Pineapple Lily

A tropical scent that smells almost exactly like Papaya Passion, but a little less sweet, and has a slightly sour fruit note that a lot of tropical scents have (but not in a bad way). I only smell a smidgen of pineapple, and I don't smell any lily or floral notes.

Throw: Medium, 3.5 out of 5

Peach & Mango and Wild Honeysuckle have returned from previous years. I reviewed both of them in February 2016.

This is a review of Goose Creek Candles wax melts Spring 2019 scents. As is usually the case with Goose Creek Candle scents, these are very nice!

Angel Food Cake

Notes:
Top: Angel Food Cake, Warm Vanilla Bean
Mid: Whipped Cream, Soft Pear
Base: Cream Cake, Warm Sugar

Fantastic scent, and a bit unusual. It smells like slightly burnt sugar (in a good way) and milky vanilla, with a toasted marshmallow note, a hint of caramel, and maybe a barely detectable smidgen of some kind of fruit. It's sweet and rich, but not cloyingly sweet. On cold sniff I thought it might have a perfumey note, but when melted it does not. Looking at the scent notes, the fruit I'm detecting is the pear, but it's barely noticeable.

Throw: Strong, 3.75 out of 5

Baby Powder

Notes:
Top: Lemon, Lavender, Powder
Mid: Baby Powder Essence
Base: Violet, Rose, Cedarwood

It's baby powder! And it's fantastic! It has another note in there though that differentiates it from baby powder slightly, a bit of a musky note. Looking at the notes, I don't detect lemon, lavender, violet, rose or cedar. Perhaps the rose ever so slightly.

Throw: Strong, 4 out of 5

Island Bliss

Notes:
Top: Mandarin Orange, Amber, Sandalwood
Mid: Coconut Nectar, Kiwi Flower
Base: Soft Pear, Sandalwood

This is a fresh watery perfumey scent with a hint of lemon and possibly a smidgen of plum or a tropical fruit way in the background. Looking at the scent notes, the lemon I'm smelling is actually the orange, and the other fruit I guess is the pear. The tropical note must be the coconut. I don't smell sandalwood or any woodsy notes at all. It's quite nice!

Throw: Medium, 3 out of 5

Mahogany Driftwood

Notes:
Top: Lemon, Orange, Cardamom
Mid: Jasmine, Rosemary
Base: Mahogany, Teakwood, Driftwood

This is a men's cologne scent with woodsy, pine, and slightly smoky notes. On cold sniff, I smell more of the woodsy notes. But when melted, I smell more of the cologne note, although it's not an intense, sweet cologne scent. It's quite nice, kind of like ScentSationals Black Tux. Looking at the notes, I don't smell lemon or orange at all. The combination of rosemary and mahogany might be the pine I think I detect. And I guess the jasmine provides that hint of sweetness.

Throw: Strong, 3.75 out of 5

Sage Leaf & Citrus

Notes:
Top: Sage, Bright Citrus, Warm Leaves
Mid: Lavender, Geranium
Base: Patchouli, Powder, Musk

This smells like Sage & Citrus scents from other companies. Like other Sage & Citrus scents, I don't actually smell sage or citrus. Sage is a savory herb, and this is a slightly sweet scent, not savory. As for the citrus, perhaps a very sweet lemon? Although if I didn't know it's supposed to have a citrus note, I would not detect it. It's a nice, unique scent that smells a bit like an industrial cleaner, but not in a bad way at all. I like this Goose Creek version better than others I've smelled, as there seems to be a hint of something else way in the background that almost gives it a tiny bit of a foodie vibe. Looking at the notes, yes, I would definitely call this scent "bright", so I guess it IS citrus that I'm smelling. I don't detect lavender, but I think I do detect a hint of patchouli. And it's not a perfumey scent, so I don't smell musk.

Throw: Strong, 3.75 out of 5

Storm Front

Notes:
Top: Orange, Red Pineapple, White Peach
Mid: Crisp Apple, Jasmine, Lavender
Base: Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Amber

This is a lovely perfume scent with musky and slightly peppery notes, a hint of a sweet floral like gardenia, a touch of bergamot that gives it a little bit of a cologney note, and maybe a smidgen of creamy fruit and light wood. It smells great! The scent notes are pretty accurate, although I don't smell orange and pineapple per se, but there definitely is a fruit note in there somewhere.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5

Wind Blown Cotton

Notes:
Top: Soft Cotton, Fresh Air
Mid: Sun Rays, Spring Breeze
Base: Soft Sandalwood, Gentle Flowers

This is a laundry scent, but different from any others I've smelled. That's because it has barely any sweetness. It's not a harsh or soapy laundry detergent scent either, more like fabric softener but not powdery, floral or perfumey. It's quite pleasant. If you like laundry scents but they give you a headache, try this one! Looking at the notes, I don't smell sandalwood per se, but that might be what's keeping this scent from being too sweet.

Throw: Strong, 3.5 out of 5
